I would think it’s the opposite of what you are assuming. The education classes are ridiculously easy. Therefore a bigger majority of students that start the curriculum will finish it. On the other hand engineering courses are not that easy I would think there would be more dropouts and people switching to education classes. So even though education Majors have lower SATs, they probably have a larger graduation rate in that curriculum. But the curriculum either needed to be dumbed down for them, or people with low SAT scores go into education because it is easier. Not sure which came first.
