Well, hubby is back. Looks like I'm done for the day. LOL
Exactly.
I think I will have ice cream for supper. ;-)
Oh. Did laundry, too.
In marketing class in college, we learned about blunders companies made when advertising their product in other countries. The one I remember is the “Coke adds life” campaign didn’t go too well in Japan, they were losing business. Come to find out the translation was “drinking Coke will bring your ancestors back to life”. Lol
Hope it’s negative, let us know.
I think it may be protests against the treatment of Nancy’s political prisoners.
Well, fortunately or unfortunately for me, I went to get some vanilla and someone finished it off last night. **sniff**
Don’t feel like a Slaveway run so I’ll just have to suck it up and feel deprived.
STOP!!! You’re making me tired.
You deserve an extra big bowl of ice cream for dinner, gotta keep up your strength.
Obama, Bush Judges Greenlight Biden’s ‘Sanctuary Country’ Orders for Illegal Aliens
A three-judge panel on Wednesday halted a Texas judge’s order that blocked President Joe Biden’s so-called “sanctuary country” orders that have forced the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to release criminal illegal aliens back into the United States.
On Wednesday, two judges appointed by former President Barack Obama and a judge appointed by former President George W. Bush put the brakes on Judge Drew Tipton’s order last month that struck down Biden’s orders that prevent ICE from arresting and detaining most criminal illegal aliens.
With the court’s decision, DHS no longer has to abide by Tipton’s reporting requirements. The decision also means DHS can continue imposing its “sanctuary country” orders as the case makes its way through the courts.
In February, the orders instructed ICE agents not to arrest and deport illegal aliens who had not been identified as terrorists, gang members, or were not recently convicted of an aggravated felony in the U.S.
As a result, illegal aliens charged and convicted of child sex crimes, armed robbery, drunk driving, burglary, cocaine trafficking, grand theft auto, heroin trafficking, credit card fraud, money laundering, and other crimes have been released into American communities rather than being turned over to ICE agents for arrest and deportation.
🙂
That’s the way to do it.
Wow, wish you could send me some of your energy.
Too bad. Put it on your list for next shopping trip.
America is unique because this is the first time in history where the tyrants plan to kill and enslave an armed warrior class, which is fully embedded in civilian life.
I don’t know how it ends, or even begins. No one does, it’s never been tried.— Cernovich (@Cernovich) September 16, 2021
Supply of monoclonal antibody treatment to Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas & other Southern states restricted by Biden Admin with no real explanation besides “equity.” How is it equitable to only send treatment for HALF the Floridians who need it, & NO state sites in Alabama?— Christina Pushaw (@ChristinaPushaw) September 16, 2021

At 101, she’s still hauling lobsters with no plans to stop
AP News ^ | 16 Sept 2021 | ROBERT F. BUKATY
When Virginia Oliver started trapping lobster off Maine’s rocky coast, World War II was more than a decade in the future, the electronic traffic signal was a recent invention and few women were harvesting lobsters.
Nearly a century later, at age 101, she’s still doing it. The oldest lobster fisher in the state and possibly the oldest one in the world, Oliver still faithfully tends to her traps off Rockland, Maine, with her 78-year-old son Max.
She’s still loading pogeys — lobster-speak for menhaden, a small fish — into traps to lure the crustaceans in. And she’s still getting up long before dawn to get on the boat and do it.
“I like doing it, I like being along the water,” she said. “And so I’m going to keep on doing it just as long as I can. ”
Oliver started trapping lobsters at age 8, and these days she catches them using a boat that once belonged to her late husband and bears her own name, the “Virginia.” She said she has no intention to stop, but she is concerned about the health of Maine’s lobster population, which she said is subject to heavy fishing pressure these days.
“I’ve done it all my life, so I might as well keep doing it,” Oliver said.
The lobster industry has changed over the course of Oliver’s many decades on the water, and lobsters have grown from a working class food to a delicacy. The lobsters fetched 28 cents a pound on the docks when she first starting trapping them; now, it’s 15 times that. Wire traps have replaced her beloved old wooden ones, which these days are used as kitsch in seafood restaurants.

LG~~Go to the article to see a picture of Virginia Oliver.
I think we need to recruit her for our Granny’s With Guns posse.
I spoke with my neighbor a little bit ago who is now in SC with her very sick son, he is 36. The husband, wife and four kids are all sick, the baby is not. The husband is the worst, he can hardly move. They tried to get him monoclonals yesterday and he was denied them as he did not fit the criteria. He is too young, BMI too low and didn’t have any other risk factors. His oxygen is still good.
I called around and found a center near him as well as one a few hours away that sounds like they might take him. So, I sent her that information.
The wife’s doctor also prescribed ivermectin so the husband and wife have started on that today as well.
My neighbors are older and high risk, her husband has a heart stent and other issues so she was nervous about going but is there to help with the kids.

It is. We were just trying to figure out if there was any significance why 9/18 was chosen, instead of 9/25 or 10/2 for example.
