Thank you. I have thousands of pictures too, planned on giving each kid and grand kid a big envelope so I could include cards. Did I mention kids and grandkids art work saved? Honestly, a few masterpieces I’m not sure who the artist was. It’s overwhelming. I have four kids and ten grands.
I live in Texas and there are even places where you can get this with a doctor’s note. I see the same in Florida. Are they going to interfere with this?
Take pictures of those cards. That will save the memories. Then, take a deep breath and hold it as you toss them in the trash.
I know plenty of people that aren’t political that don’t want the vaccine.
They had also saved school stuff like all of us kid’s grade school report cards. And every mention of grandkids in newspaper clippings from sports accolades to honor roll etc.
It was so much to go through but everyone enjoyed getting some stuff from their childhood. Unfortunately most had to be thrown away. I have been going through my garage and throwing out stuff and some to Salvation Army. I’m determined not to put my kids through that much work when I’ve left this earth.

My FIL had dozens boxes of mementos. We didn’t divide up for the grandkids, but we put four boxes in the living room and divided everything up between the 3 siblings and widow of the fourth. We figure they can take their box and divide it among their own kids.
The most challenging thing for us was he had kept every piece of paper - bills, etc, since the 60s. We kept some of it (tax returns from the 60s were interesting) but most of it up to the last decade got shredded. We had to go through piece by piece to make sure we didn’t shred anything nostalgic.
I ended up with 15 bags of shredded paper. (I used it for chicken litter)
Now just why would these professors want the government to stop looking for Chinese spies in academia?
How much are they getting paid by China?
I’d be looking into them.
I just don’t see my kids going through all those cards. My youngest daughter even put her daughter’s school work in the trash before they entered the house, because she didn’t want clutter. My granddaughter was hurt. I witnessed the hurt of my granddaughter so I put the work she did when I picked her up on the refrigerator.
On the other hand, there’s me.
I cannot imagine how traumatizing that is.
