House Democrats just refused to recognize Republican veterans on the House Floor to read the names of our fallen service members in Afghanistan.

That’s how far our nation has fallen.— Congressman Greg Steube (@RepGregSteube) August 31, 2021

“Maj. Beau Biden, an Army National Guard lawyer, served honorably in Baghdad. His early death from brain cancer was tragic but has nothing to do with Afghanistan or those killed there. Mr. Biden is not a Gold Star father and should stop playing one on TV.” https://t.co/hZ0ztla8av— Bill McGurn (@wjmcgurn) August 31, 2021

Combining Blinken, McKenzie numbers, totals are: Coalition airlifted 123k people out of Afghanistan. US military planes airlifted 79k. Of them, 6k were US citizens. For the 73k non-citizens, unclear what vetting process being used, where all are headed. https://t.co/qtMU31HwQ9— Byron York (@ByronYork) August 31, 2021

Two Senior FDA Officials Stepping Down Over Reported Disagreements With White House Over Booster Shots

As Endpoints News notes, “A former senior FDA leader told Endpoints that they’re departing because they’re frustrated that CDC and their ACIP committee are involved in decisions that they think should be up to the FDA. The former FDAer also said he’s heard they’re upset with CBER director Peter Marks for not insisting that those decisions should be kept inside FDA. What finally did it for them was the White House getting ahead of FDA on booster shots.”

The departures mark the latest setback for the federal agency which still lacks a permanent leader.

More via Endpoints’ Zachary Brennan:

FDA’s former acting chief scientist Luciana Borio added on Twitter, “FDA is losing two giants who helped bring us many safe and effective vaccines over decades of public service.”

House Democrats just refused to recognize Republican veterans on the House Floor to read the names of our fallen service members in Afghanistan.

That needs to go viral!

Wait till the public hears this.

There are dims in the military too.

Will not sit well!

I posted a tweet that the House dims refused to let Afghan veterans who are members speak.

Is this the same thing or two different ones?

I wonder if @JoeBiden has any interest in understanding how the last two weeks will affect Afghan Veteran’s Mental Health as he invokes are hardest struggles to justify his incompetence?

“The camera was not focused on Bye-done the whole time....”

Thanks for pointing that out to me. I wasn’t thinking about that. In fact my thinking is off today. I left the house to go visit my youngest daughter forgetting that I had someone coming over so there was a lot of concern for me that something had happened.

I’m happy that nothing happened to you and I bet who ever was coming over is too.

I can tell you, Spunky, that we all have our senior moments but you sure are a very sharp cookie.

Biden’s writing team returned to the same straw man argument as last time. This isn’t about whether we should seek to end the war in Afghanistan but about the unparalleled incompetence, inconceivable malfeasance & unending humiliation that has defined every step of Biden’s exit.

Kamala Harris steps in to the Senate to pass bill to give $10million to Americans repatriated from Afghanistan - then refuses questions as she walks out

Tuesday’s Senate session lasted about two minutes and was attended only by Harris and Democratic Sen. Ben Cardin of Maryland.

It’s rare for a vice president to preside over a pro forma session, which is what the Senate is in right now. Those sessions are usually presided over by a single, local senator and last only a few minutes.

But, in order for the legislation pass, two senators were needed - a senator had to make the motion and a presiding officer had to approve it. As vice president, Harris is president of the Senate and so can step in as presiding officer.

Harris volunteered to preside when a second senator was unavailable to join Cardin, who was scheduled to be the presiding officer on Tuesday.

‘My understanding is we couldn’t find another senator so she volunteered,’ Cardin told reporters on Capitol Hill.

‘They needed two senators on the floor and I’m not sure there’s another senator close by, so she said she would take care of it,’ he noted.

The bill passed by unanimous consent, meaning no senator objected to it.
