Speaking of Texas pecans, my brother-in-law had two huge pecan trees in his yard in Victoria Texas. He didn’t want the pecans so we picked bags and bags full. Went home and shelled them and froze them. They were delicious!
Now I’m wondering why he didn’t have problems with squirrels. I planted 2 hazelnut trees at the old house. The first year the squirrels didn’t get into them at all. I’m assuming they didn’t know what those trees were. Second-year they got them all except for 3.

That’s true. He was the first president since Reagan that actually told the truth. Whether people wanted to hear it or not.
I didn’t realize it at the time but Reagan got backlash for calling the Soviet Union the evil empire. Same thing I could see Trump do. Somehow Reagan wasn’t as vilified, I don’t think the left was quite as evil as they are now back then
