Several Media Outlets Knew Cuomo Was Trying To Destroy One Of His Accusers
Several media outlets knew that Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo was trying to destroy one of the women who accused him of sexual harassment.
Rich Azzopardi, Cuomo’s director of communications and senior adviser, sent a file on Cuomo accuser Lindsey Boylan to journalists from several prominent outlets, documents show. The files were sent hours after Boylan publicly accused Cuomo of sexual harassment in December of 2020.
The confidential files on Boylan were shared between Dec. 13 and Dec. 15 with reporters at The Associated Press, The New York Times, New York Post, The Hill, CBS, NY1 News and the New York Daily News

People recovering from Covid may have ‘substantial’ drop in intelligence
The long-term effect of a Covid-19 infection could include a drop in intelligence, according to new research.
Between January and December last year, scientists conducted the Great British Intelligence Test that examined the IQ of 81,337 people.
Among that number were 13,000 who had been infected with the virus.
Once the scientists had factored out things like age, sex, language and education level, they found people recovering from Covid saw the biggest decline.
The researchers urge caution on drawing too many conclusions without brain imaging data. Instead, they say the results should act as a clarion call for further research into the issue.
Interestingly, separate research on the effects of long Covid on the brain has taken imaging into account.
A preprint study, which has yet to be peer-reviewed, has been published suggesting neurodegenerative diseases (for example: Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s or cancer) could be more likely to develop after Covid spreads through nerves in the brain.
‘UK Biobank scanned over 40,000 participants before the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, making it possible to invite back in 2021 hundreds of previously-imaged participants for a second imaging visit,’ the academics wrote in their paper.

Biden Extends Trump’s Policy of Expelling Migrants, Cites Delta Variant
President Joe Biden has elected to support the continued enforcement of former President Donald Trump’s Title 42 policy, which allows border authorities to expel migrants back to Mexico or their home countries without giving them the chance to apply for humanitarian refuge.
News of this order was released yesterday by the CDC. The agency said the migration of non-citizens, “regardless of country of origin,” creates a “serious danger” of the further introduction of COVID-19 into the United States, citing the threat of “emerging variants.”
The duration of this policy remains indefinite, with the statement confirming that the policy will remain in effect until CDC Director Rochelle Walensky determines the migration of non-citizens to no longer be “a serious danger to the public health.”
The announcement comes as a blow to advocates and migrant support groups who have long argued for the end of the policy. These individuals have stated the policy endangers those waiting at the border and violates U.S. refugee law and treaties. Josiah Heyman, director of the Center for Inter-American and Border Studies at the University of Texas at El Paso, spoke with Newsweek about the dangers associated with this policy last April.
