About where are you in Texas Jane? We lived in Corpus Christi for a year-and-a-half. Had family up in San Antonio, the hill country, and Boerne. Even coming from the California desert with temperatures around a hundred and ten degrees and Squishy asphalt, I couldn’t handle the Summers there. In Texas I mean. South Texas.
We thought middle of the country would get us both moderate Summers and Winters. Or it could have given us the worst of both :-) we saw the max/min temperatures and it didn’t seem so bad so we gave it a chance. It actually turned out the former way. The humidity here must be a bit less than Corpus Christi because I haven’t gotten any bugs in my flour/sugar. And the towels dry, LOL.

Glad you got up early to deal with the garage, that makes it so much better. Our Corpus Winters were the best. Shorts and t-shirt weather. The only time I wore a coat is when I took my son to hockey practice, LOL. I wish I could have stood the summer better. All I did was complain and watch for hurricanes. Our house was an escrow when a hurricane was predicted to hit dead on Corpus. That was fun. That was kind of like my little nudge from God saying I made the right choice to leave. Luckily it hit just north of us.
