honestly, three days before his death i went to the vet and asked for pain meds. They said I needed to bring him in to weigh so they would know how much to safely give him. I just to.d the he was dying and it didn’t matter and I wasn’t going to take him away from home to a place he didn’t like just for meds
If you have enough meds just give them to him, people do that all the time with their loved ones.

Podiatrist appointment (in Nashville again!) this afternoon. Then I had some errands to run. Didn’t get home until 8.
I have plenty to give him, but it makes him really groggy. So I need the fine line between not feeling the pain and not feeling sick from the pain medicine. I think I’ll just give him an extra dose tonight.
I also have some gabapentin, he was prescribed that first. That really makes him groggy, for the whole next day. Which would be OK if he’s sleeping peacefully, but he’s trying to move around and running into things and getting frustrated I think. and won’t eat.
I think I’ll save it though. After your experience, I probably want to keep some on hand just in case cotton needs it.
