Bookmarked for later. Found this cool time-lapse
A Time-Lapse Map of Every Nuclear Explosion Since 1945

The Russians found out the same thing when they did they detonated a 300 kT nuclear warhead only 150 km (93 miles) above the ground. The EMP seriously damaged power lines and even got a power station in the small city of Karaganda to catch on fire.
Ping.
Electric Universe Ping!
“Earth is not the same everywhere. In recent years, researchers have been sounding Earth’s crust to determine the 3D electrical properties of our planet. These magnetotelluric surveys reveal huge variations in conductivity from place to place, depending on the mix of underlying rock.”
NB recall that one way of detecting submarines is MAD (magnetic anomaly detector) e.g. local changes to background magnetic field caused by a large chunk of steel (a submarine).
Large physical deposits of ferromagnetic material would therefore affect the local magnetic fields: which in turn has implications for EMP...
One of the Starfish detonations sizzled the electronics in Telstar, the first active communications satellite.
Starfish was hastily done as a response to the USSR’s “Tsar Bomba” test.

On the last of the series Skin Walker Ranch, anomalies were found around the world where very large meteorites have struck.
This is the article on which Dr. Phillips' article is based:
Down to Earth with nuclear electromagnetic pulse
A NASA article about Starfish:
(The October 28, 1962, explosion over Semipalatinsk in Kazakhstan. mentioned.)
USAF publication regarding EMPs and Air operations Michael B. Hughes, Maj, USAFR (approved for public viewing.)
IMPACT OF EMP ON AIR OPERATIONS. AIR COMMAND AND STAFF COLLEGE AIR UNIVERSITY
Freepers can search "EMP hardened computers" . Looks like there may be some information regarding this subject.
... but if they KILL ya’ ... who cares ?
“Nuclear Bombs Can Cause Geomagnetic Storms”
Nuclear Bombs Can Cause EMP
If detonated over the US EMP will destroy most all electronic devices in US. Iran and N Korea would love to be the country that achieved this.
If this nuc was exploded 250 miles above the pacific where was is launched from in 1962 vandy???
Nukes will cause annihilation so what’s the point?
It is interesting to me that Enola Gay and Boxcar got away from the blasts at Hiroshima and Nagasaki with no reported circuit failures or vacuum tube damage. The pilots were instructed to 150 degrees from current course and dive to get outside the blast/ air pressure radius.
Hi Pete.
Not to hijack the thread, but has anyone heard from the pot belly dictator from the Mordor in the north?
Seems like the ronery one up and disappeared.

Back when they tested stuff without knowing what the outcome would be.
Now the Chinese do it in Wuhan.
