I took my nephew, Devon, to the hospital Sunday night, and we found that he has a serious case of Covid lung (Dr's words). He had been resting as comfortably as can be expected. Alert, responsive and aware of what was happening. He was using a BIPAP machine with a full face mask, and doing better. Until this morning.
He apparently was struggling to breath more, so the Dr intubated him, and he is now has a ventilator breathing for him. I am praying that this will oxygenate his body sufficiently while it fights off the infection.
Does anyone know current info on survival of Covid patients once intubated these days in mid-2021? It has to better for people with no co-mordities.
I took him to the ER on July 10, where he tested positive. At that time he had a fever of 102.3, General body aches and only occaisonal coughing. Dr. gave him only a prescription for a pain killer.
Fever went down to normal on 15 July. The evening of 18 July he finally admitted that he was having real trouble breathing, with rapid shallow panting in order to breath without coughing. I made him use his mothers O2 sensor, and his O2 level proved to be in the mid-85's. Seriously low.
After consultation with his Dr.'s night nurse, I called 911, and the paramedics took him to the hospital.
At the ER, a chest x-ray revealed that his lungs were half-full of fluid. He had Covid lung, as the ER doc put it. Before being admitted to the hospital, the hospital doc said they would give him a course of Remdisiver.
the Dr is a POS for not giving him ivermectin, hcq and/or regeneron.
I’m praying for a complete healing.
Prayers up for your nephew.
There have been good and well documented response of patients given Hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. But I heard doctors are forbidden to prescribe these drugs for Covid. (It has to do with how much money big companies have invested in Covid vaccines.) Is there any chance the doctor will prescribe these drugs? Worth asking.
The doctor could always prescribe them for their original uses, arthritis and parasitic worms. I’ve had two doctors get very creative to get me a specific treatment, because the insurance doesn’t recognize it for the use I needed.
My prayers sent for Devon’s recovery. I do wish the doc had been more aggressive in treatment.
Administer Ivermectin
I presume they are giving him dexamethasone (Decadron). If they are not, ask why not.
There is no evidence that either hydroxychloroquine or ivermectin is beneficial in this advanced state of disease. The data on Regeneron (which is fantastic in early and mid-stage symptomatic disease, thank you President Trump) is that it makes ventilated patients worse and should never be used in these circumstances.
Prayers up for recovery.
A little silver kills all viruses and bacteria
avail yourself of it
you want colloidal silver or silver ion suspended in pure water
The government has approved silver and 25 to 50,000 medical products but somehow say it doesn’t work internally even though it’s the worlds most efficient antibiotic known to man
Well GEE. ! it’s free and there’s never any way they could ever control it because it’s a precious metal
Get it now kids?
Your nephew is in serious trouble and you should be insisting on convalescent plasma therapy.
Praying for your nephew. With all due respect Remdesivir has not proven to be of benefit in COVID patient’s. It’s just another very expensive drug Fauci and Gilead were pushing at the expense of cheaper treatments.
I believe Regeneron’s monoclonal antibody is the treatment that really helped Trump. I know here in New Jersey it was also given to Chris Christie when he had COVID.
Best of luck to you and your nephew.

This was wrong.
I don’t know the stats for Remsvidir, but I know all available treatments work better the sooner they are given. Waiting until he’s hospitalized is wrong.
Prayers up - God loves Devon dearly.
“Dr. gave him only a prescription for a pain killer”
Wish the doctor had started him on Ivermectin that day. Just sayin. So sorry; not wanting to criticize you or the family in any way.
Prayers for Devon.

Indeed.
At the least directions to take zinc, vitamin C, and aspirin for clotting and inflammation. This is basic stuff.
Prayers up for your family.
Perhaps you could talk to his doctor to get an informed prognosis based on the totality of his condition.
Ask his doctor if he feels an ECMO machine is an option if his condition continues to deteriorate too.
Prayers up for Devon...for complete healing.
Lord, hear our prayers.
Praying for Devon🙏❤
“...colloidal silver...”
Does’t your skin turn blue from that chemical?
Best of luck.
Any asthma?
