I never saw this show, but I always assumed it was about guitar players. No joke.
Been watching that show for a long time. No great loss IMO.
I suspect fritz would beat his own grandmother out of a quarter if he thought he could get away with it.
There’s always two sides, but Mike probably knows he’s the heart of the show, he feels like he made his friend Frank some money, and now he wants his brother to get more of a payday and maybe some fame. He probably sees it as helping take care of his nieces too.
Frank has earned a boatload of money from that program, so he can cry me a river. Not sure how much, but Pawn Stars were each getting 25K per episode which is not bad.
Doesn’t belong on the History Channel. Though I admit most shows on the History Channel don’t belong there ! History I guess is too boring to support a profitable audience.
Shame, Great show. Just not the same without Frank.
I watch real picker shows on YouTube. Buy a Tupperware lid at a yard sale for fifty cents, sell it on eBay for $9.99. You just have to know which ones to buy.
Being on the road so much and with Crohn’s Disease was likely a strain on filming different episodes featuring Frank. I’m guessing those complications were part of the strain between the two.
It did always seem, at least in Camera, that Mike was more the critical one toward Frank than the other way around.
I like Danielle - her personality - but I don’t like watching her. I have a mental problem when it comes to extensive tatoos; for me it’s more than just a “turn off”. It’s a prejudice of mine. I am entitled to it.
Ridiculous what they pay for items. Now everybody thinks they can get $250 for a broken lamp from the 1920s.
Mike is pretty obnoxious. Wore out his welcome on my TV a few years ago.
Lovers Quarrel ?
Frank must get royalties when they run that program.
They are the Abbot and Costello of garage sales.
I can’t stand “American pickers”. That show is more scripted and phony than even “Pawn Stars”.
Having a bad back wouldn’t be useful when you’re ‘picking’ up heavy stuff while being a ‘Picker’... Too bad there isn’t compo for self-employed people.
They sometimes “picked” some interesting stuff, but there’s no way the profits they showed would even come close to the costs of driving around finding them.
so, is Frank Fritz the rolly-polly one or the tall skinny abrasive, obnoxious one?
Couple of points.
I read where Frank is going through a divorce. So it may make sense to reduce his projected income.
He married late, so one wonders whether his wife just married him for his money. His wife looked better than you would have expected for someone like him.
Reminds me somewhat of the guy fixing stuff for Pawn Stars getting his own show and quickly marrying someone about 40 to 45 who looked and dressed like an old cocktail waitress and putting her on the show in outfits she was too old to be wearing. Being on TV attracts a lot of flies. Many men, and women, can’t handle it.
Very early in the show, they were buying things really cheap and making a killing. I recall them buying an old saddle for $20 from an 80-90 year old guy then saying it was worth $1,500. People were really upset with them taking advantage of the old guy. After that they started paying 50 to 60% of the market rate (at least the items shown on the show). I wonder what they pay on items not shown. I gather they have a couple of stores.
I haven’t watched in a few years so I don’t know where they are on the show.
In Korea the show is called just “Pickers.”
These “reality” shows are all choreographed and fake. They get exposed from time to time.
The history channel is a joke. There hasn’t been any history on it for years. Just like Arts and Entertainment channel. There hasn’t been any of such on that either.
“Watch Wes Work” has Frank’s old Ford Ranger pickup.
too funny!
