(Washington, D.C.) Today, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has decided to introduce legislation banning fireworks nationwide since they are an obvious, blatant, in your face expression of support for all things Trump.

Said an insider:

“After studying the subject, AOC has decided to introduce in the near future, legislation that will ban the manufacture, sale, transport or possession of fireworks of any and all types in all 50 states and territories since they are expressions of all things Trump.”

“We know that at the previous presidents inauguration, he enjoyed watching a waste of taxpayers money to the tune of millions and his supporters took notice. That money would have been better off being donated to worthy causes such as BLM and others.”

“His supporters have used the 4th of July to exhibit this unbridled expression of support and it must be banned. We cannot allow this support to continue. We've already gotten the flags, the statues and so on. If American Trump supporters can't give up this fireworks tradition, we democrats have to take it through comprehensive legislation.”

“If you want to do something constructive on the 4th of July, eat lots of hot dogs. This administration is saving you money on them to the tune of sixteen cents. That's just this year. Next year it might be up to twenty cents. The more you eat, the more you save.”

No, it’s de facto the truth. The left has been going after fireworks for decades now. Democrat misfits hate the 4th.

July 2, 1776 was the date to which Adams was referring if memory serves.

Yeah, that's when they voted. The Declaration of Independence was dated July 4, 1776, so that became Independence Day.

It's like future-dating a check, I suppose.

Enthusiasm for fireworks and the 4th is not limited to likely Trump supporters, and AOC should know that. I recall being in NYC on the 4th about six years ago, and watching the fireworks with an hysterically enthusiastic crowd, packed in so tight, shoulder to shoulder, that it was almost impossible to move. As we watched fireworks cascade off of the Brooklyn Bridge and soar over the East River, it occurred to me that I was at least a head taller than anyone around me, and that no one within earshot was speaking English.

Only one of mine gets really upset over them, she’s getting old now and it’s more just about being clingy as much as a big dog can be. The others don’t like it but they don’t panic like she does.

I just fret and fret about fires, I was grateful we had rain starting the Friday prior. I still watered some just to be sure hahahaha. When it’s drier out I waste water running my sprinklers once the popping starts.

I had a standard poodle who could hear a thunderstorm 60 minutes before it even got close to human sensory range. She would lightly whine and head into the walk-in closet.

Definitely not a gun dog.
