Thanks s&sf.....very encouraging. It IS a new beginning, and I really am looking forward to being on the farm. Just this afternoon Natalie was saying she’s got company coming over on the 31st and they have a Tai chef coming in to cook up a meal for 10 people. They NEVER do stuff like this, so I was happy to hear it. But she has nowhere to send the kids. I have no room at the house now....everything is packed up. Her in-laws are a whole other story.....that’s a thread on its own lol. We both said how nice it will be to just send the kids over to our place, 100 feet away, they can sleep over, and run home for breakfast (or lunch) the next day. So handy for them. They have rarely left the kids with anyone and could use a break now and then....they ALL work so hard, kids included.

It was sad today in one way, and a bit of a relief in another. The roof is leaking so badly that there’s a big puddle now on the bedroom floor. There’s mold starting on the walls in the living room because of the leaky roof and moisture. It’s really time to take it down. Everything has a season. It was a great 25 years.

And one of the light fixtures in the kitchen is filled with water lol. I cleared out the few things in the fridge and turned the hydro off when I left. Even one of the walls is starting to buckle. Lol I think there’s more moss on the roof than shingles.
I packed up some old cards and things today - there was a post card (hand painted) from someone who was in Bermuda, writing to the original owner of the cottage. His name was George Walker (apparently he owned Walker Construction in Hamilton) and the postcard is stamped 1932. There’s also a picture of the front of the cottage and there’s a large peninsula going out about 30 feet by about 40 feet wide. It’s completely gone now - erosion has taken it away. The bank is eroding now and is cracking within 20 feet of the cottage, so it won’t be long now.
Time to move on.

I told hubby that even the LSM was starting to not cover for Biden anymore, made fun of him and his pathetic performance on CNN.
I find it truly sad but he should NOT be in this position in the first place.
His days are numbered.
But just how are the dims going to remove him is the question I have to ask.

Conservative radio host Larry Elder is leading the field of candidates running to remove California Gov. Gavin Newsom from office by way of a recall election scheduled to take place on Sept. 14, according to a new poll released Wednesday.
The Inside California Politics and Emerson College poll found California voters favored Elder by 10 points when asked which of the recall candidates they planned to support.
peaking with KRON-TV Wednesday evening, Elder said he announced his candidacy earlier this month, and has thus not been a candidate in the race to recall Newsom for long. Elder credited his public profile as a nationally syndicated radio host with his showing in the poll.
