And one of the light fixtures in the kitchen is filled with water lol. I cleared out the few things in the fridge and turned the hydro off when I left. Even one of the walls is starting to buckle. Lol I think there’s more moss on the roof than shingles.
I packed up some old cards and things today - there was a post card (hand painted) from someone who was in Bermuda, writing to the original owner of the cottage. His name was George Walker (apparently he owned Walker Construction in Hamilton) and the postcard is stamped 1932. There’s also a picture of the front of the cottage and there’s a large peninsula going out about 30 feet by about 40 feet wide. It’s completely gone now - erosion has taken it away. The bank is eroding now and is cracking within 20 feet of the cottage, so it won’t be long now.
Time to move on.
