Hi Dolly - I would have answered sooner, but I was just up for one of my many bladder adjustments in the night. I think if I had one of those fit bit things, I’d just wear it in the night and meet my walking goals lol.

Thanks for breakfast lysie. Off to clear out some stuff at the cottage today. They have listed the price too high - I am giving it up rather than buying it. It will be sad to leave after 25 years, but we decided when we sold the house that we were going to help the kids out before anything else. Cashing investments in is pretty pricey, so it’s time to close the chapter on the cottage. *Sniff*.

Mobile home is supposed to arrive early September, so we’re prepping for that - house closes August 30th, so now that we don’t have the cottage, it’ll be fun to see what happens for a few weeks while homeless lol. Onward and upward.

Oh Gran....I thought that was one of those clips where they do the lip reading and sync in some ridiculous content! I can’t remember what they called them but they were very funny lol. This was actually what this stammering, incoherent old criminal was blathering out in front of the nation! I have decided that the “President Harris” move has started - they are moving to put Joe out to pasture.

Oh, Judy, it is hard to leave a place. So many memories.

We just received word that the border in Papua is closing on July 28. No one will be allowed in or out after that date. You’re only allowed out if you have a negative covid test. The border will remain closed for at least 1 month.

So, we’re following the advice of Matt.25:1-10. We don’t know when the door will open, but we will be ready to go as soon as we can. [To be clear, we are currently in the US and want to get to Papua, Indonesia.] Hubs will again teach long-distance via the internet. I will garden. I have done a lot of gardening this year.

Speaking of that, we have had too much rain over the last month to actually be able to garden. The ground is squishy. When it isn’t rainy it is very muggy. And hot. Hot, moisture, and fertile soil. Things have also become quite jungle-ly here as well. At least we’ll have August.

I wonder how the LSM is spinning this.

Anybody brave enough to to watch Mika and her sidekick?

This is really a very sad state of affairs and very scary.

What can they be thinking to keep sending him out to make a bigger fool of himself?

You must be right, getting ready for Amendment 25 and Prez Comma-la.

2000 Haitians Enter Mexico in a Week — Bound for U.S.

RANDY CLARK21 Jul 2021

FTA
On Monday, more than 2,000 Haitians illegally entered Mexico near Tapachula, Chiapas, along the Guatemalan border. The Haitians sought refuge with the Comisión Mexicana de Ayuda a Refugiados (COMAR).

According to a recent Haitian news article, the migrants seeking refuge in Mexico are disregarding COVID-19 protocols by not wearing masks and are failing to socially distance. According to COMAR, more than 9,000 Haitians have entered Mexico in 2021. Haitians are second only to Hondurans in the tally of those entering Mexico illegally over this period.

The Haitians claim they are fleeing violence and poverty. Nearly 2,500 applied for refugee status in the last two weeks, according to COMAR. The recent assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise further complicates the political and social landscape in that country. This will likely lead to more unrest and migration away from the island.

Once registered for refugee status in Mexico, Haitians are free to travel within the country. Historically, the ultimate destination for many is the United States.

Many Haitians spend months and years in Mexico before reaching the U.S. Often, Haitian family units arrive with children born away from their home country.

One family spoke to Breitbart Texas about their journey. Meelios, his wife Samantha, and their young daughter, entered illegally near Del Rio, Texas. After being released by Border Patrol, he recounted the more than two-year journey.

He says he left Haiti in 2018 aboard a ship destined for Panama. From there, he and his wife traveled to Chile, where his two-year-old daughter was born. The family’s journey took them on to Nicaragua and through Central America before Mexico and eventually Texas. He says friendly people and odd jobs sustained them.

Del Rio, a small West Texas community, will likely see the bulk Haitians who intend to seek asylum in the United States. Currently, the Border Patrol there leads the nation in the apprehension of Haitians. The influx is unlikely to slow anytime soon.

Thanks, Jemian. It is very difficult to leave the cottage. It has been my sanctuary for 25 years.

We have had rain galore as well. The kids couldn’t get out in the field to cut the hay as planned yesterday - too mucky. And next week looks like rain likely off an on all week. What a summer it’s been - usually they’re longing for rain at this time.

Happy gardening - and I hope you make your way to Papua as soon as you can.

Marjorie Taylor Greene
@mtgreenee

How to lose your voters in 4 easy steps:

1. Create skyrocketing inflation
2. Open borders & national security crisis
3. Kill small businesses by paying people $$$ to stay home
4. Tell people they can have their facial freedom back then take it away!
And say masks are back!

White House considering push for masks: report

BY CELINE CASTRONUOVO - 07/22/21 07:31 AM EDT

FTA
The White House is reportedly in talks with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other top administration officials on whether to push for updated mask guidance amid a surge in delta variant infections across the country.

Six people familiar with the discussions told The Washington Post that talks are still in the early stages, though officials said any updated guidelines on wearing masks would come directly from the CDC.

Under the CDC’s current health guidelines, Americans who are fully vaccinated do not have to wear masks in most settings, though a federal mask mandate remains in place for airlines and other forms of public transportation.

The reported discussions come as health officials have warned that the country is now facing a “pandemic of the unvaccinated,” as areas with relatively low vaccination rates are now experiencing surges in coronavirus infections and hospitalizations.

In Missouri, one of the new epicenters for the coronavirus surge, Gov. Mike Parson (R) announced Wednesday that the state would be offering monetary incentives to residents to boost the pace of vaccinations, with people who have gotten the vaccine eligible for one of 900 prizes worth $10,000. Thus far, just 40 percent of Missouri’s population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, according to CDC data.

Officials who spoke to the Post said that the White House aims to maintain a hands-off approach and leave it up to the CDC on the best path forward for mask guidelines.

“At the White House, we follow the guidance and advice of health and medical experts,” assistant White House press secretary Kevin Munoz told the newspaper.

“Public health guidance is made by the CDC, and they continue to recommend that fully vaccinated individuals do not wear a mask,” he added. “If you are not vaccinated, you should be wearing a mask.”

A federal health official told the Post that no final decision has been made, and that the CDC was considering all options.

“At this time, we have no intention of changing our masking guidance,” CDC spokesman Jason McDonald said in a statement.

President Biden during his Wednesday evening CNN town hall said the CDC would likely be issuing guidance encouraging children who have not been vaccinated to wear masks when they return to schools in the fall.

Biden said that enforcing the guidance would be difficult, but would be a “community responsibility.”

Glad for you that the SOS’s attempt to keep Larry off the ballot failed.

Yes, it could be a great thing for CA & hopefully ripple throughout the country.

We had such great hopes for Arnold, after recalling Gray Davis. After all the tough talk, Arnold turned into a girly man & backstabbed all of us.

I don't think Larry will do that.

No, I don’t think you have to worry about Larry being another Arnold.

He has a conservative track record which everyone can check.

What you see is what you get!

No surprises.

Stock futures are flat as jobless claims unexpectedly rise

PUBLISHED WED, JUL 21 20216:02 PM EDT Tanaya Macheel Pippa Stevens

FTA
U.S. stock index futures were flat as an unexpected jump in jobless claims kept investors on edge about the economy.

Futures contracts tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 60 points lower, off their highs of the overnight session. S&P 500 futures were flat. Nasdaq 100 futures added 0.06%.

Jobless claims unexpectedly rose to 419,000 last week, higher than the 350,000 Dow Jones estimate and more than the upwardly revised 368,000 from the previous period, the Labor Department reported Thursday.

The 10-year Treasury yield ticked lower after the report.

The Dow is up 0.3% on the week and sits less than 1% from a record high. The 10-year Treasury yield was slightly higher on Thursday to 1.29%, up from a drop to 1.17% earlier in the week that spooked stocks.
