Final Rush Limbaugh Show Segment Moves Me To Tears
Jun 18, 2021
I heard the first show in syndication. I was still in Dayton. It didn't take long to become a fan. Rush Limbaugh was a staple in my life for three decades. Today, the final show segment and the last "Open Line Friday" caller. Thanks for everything, Rush.

Just have to say Fred was an Amazing Last Open Line Friday Caller on the Final Rush Limbaugh Show!
Thank You Rush, Thank You Ken and all those who kept the show going with Excellence! EIB!
RIP Rush 😢— David, Stand for the Flag, Kneel for the Cross, J. (@dbjco) June 18, 2021
Sorry, I just can’t listen. I’d rather remember him in his upbeat prime.

It is a caller calling in live today, not Rush in a recorded segment. Your loss if you choose not to listen. I had a few tears trickling down my chin listing to it on a road trip this morning.
I understand but if you are a fan you just have to listen to the last caller and last message from Rush on the final Rush Limbaugh program, if not now, maybe later. I am going to try and find the whole show and listen to it later.
Forever dittos.
That last caller said it all for me and probably a million others.
Bkmk
Just reading this thread has me in tears. I miss him so much.
Not my loss at all. Rush didn't care to be remembered on his birthday and he'd certainly cringe at this maudlin affair if he were still around. Leave the Great One to rest in peace and keep his memory one of strength, rather than his failing health at the end.
DITTOS RUSH!
Can’t get the damn thing to play.
I’m so sad.
Rush really came to mean a lot to me.
A good Missouri man, the pride of our State.
They laid him to rest in the same cemetery where my grandparents rest. I am very pleased with that .
I miss Rush. I miss DJT. I miss Alex Trebek.
Listened to a show a few days later and heard Rush talking about something current and thought he was still alive. then the news came on saying he was dead.
Broke my heart. Loved that man.
The Rush Limbaugh Show was an important part of my life for 33 years. Rush and his show have now been claimed by the pages of history.
I first heard Rush in 1988 or possibly early 1989. The Rush theme song was playing with Rush starting to talk over it. I had read about this guy named Rush Limbaugh before. The theme music alone told me this must be his show. Kind of hard to explain but the theme music fit the image I had formed in my head about the guy even before I heard him talk.
Rush Limbaugh was like Apple Pie, John Wayne and “Old Yeller”: there’s just something wrong with folks that didn’t like ‘em, and y’ought not trust anybody like that.
