Well, of course they need funding. But the local funding doesn’t have to be Real Estate Taxes.
Our county used fire tags, and the citizens voted in a Sales tax to pay for roads. Still used RE for Schools.
I’m happy to support schools when they aren’t teaching garbage, but I’d prefer to do it with sales tax or some other way.

Given the amount of adverse reactions, maybe skin tests should be done before anyone gets the shots.
Elderly shouldn’t have to pay for schools, they don’t get any benefits from it.

my worry with the vax is that it is being targeted to our young people and I fear that they are sterilizing them.....

I'll have to respectfully disagree on this point.
Maybe I'm just too paranoid about the "slippery slope" or because my area is under constant threat of re-development, but I'll continue to pay the outrageous school taxes rather than have another government agency looking at where a bunch of elderly live and thinking how much more money they could collect if they could just get rid of those dang old people!
Another basic unfairness not discussed is the huge tax breaks given to new commercial and industrial developments, ranging from "forgiveness" of property taxes, to tax breaks on inventory and not charging city sales tax on construction materials and supplies purchased within the city for the project, and increasing sales tax within the development to "pay the developer back" for certain required improvements.
All developments have an impact on city services and when development after development is built without paying their fair share, it falls on the "little guy to make up the shortfall.
There are other better kinds of taxes than property taxes.
And at the least your primary residence should be exempt from taxation.
As things are we are all serfs paying rents to a landlord.

Do these people not have grandchildren or nieces and nephews ?
Our issues should not be the tax but HOW the taxes are spent. Even if we don’t have school age children we need to be more involved with local government and schools.
We as citizens dropped the ball a long time ago and left the governing to others. We need to take back the control.
