The anticipated release of a government report about UFOs (or UAPs) later this month has created a lot of public discussion about what might be included in that report, and perhaps more importantly, what might be excluded. But in the end, the government does not know, nor can it, what the UAPs really are, or are not, because they are a paradox.
Briefly stated, a paradox occurs when two statements of supposed facts are perceived to contradict each other. The UAP paradox is that the UAPs behave as if they wished to avoid detection, yet they get detected anyway. Why is that a paradox? Because, any technology that is capable of the reported flight characteristics of the UAPs, capabilities that exceed anything earthly we know about, and indeed, can seem to violate the known laws of physics, must surely be capable of stealth technology vastly exceeding ours — and ours is fairly good, and getting better, despite having been first developed in its present form only in recent decades.
In short, if the UAPs are the product of advanced technology, as they seem to be, then either they wish to hide or not. If they wish to hide, we should never, ever, be able to detect them. If they do not wish to hide, we should see them frequently, under conditions of irrefutable evidence. The paradox is that they do neither. They hide, and then they don't hide. What could be the explanation for that?
I consider the hypothesis of alien spacecraft in our skies plausible but lacking sufficient evidence to persuade an honest skeptic. Indeed, I consider it even less plausible that UAPs are the product of earthly technology, because that also presents a paradox.

From the article:
whatever this is, it seems to dither at the edges, saying now you see me, now you don't, catch me if you can, but beware if you do.This kind of behavior would indicate that "it," whatever "it" is, wants to reveal itself gradually over time.
One might conclude that "it" wants us to figure "it" out rather than presenting itself in a way that traumatizes people (for example by having huge ships hover above our major cities).
Just saying.
Why is there never ever a clear image of them? License plates can be read from satellites.
The Biden White House is to busy enjoying alien probes.
“If they wish to hide, we should never, ever, be able to detect them.”
• Hiding is a defensive measure
• No defensive measure is 100% effective
• Thus, your premise is invalid.
There are some logical possibilities for why they are never ever detected.
First of all, it seems to me there is a wide various in the phenomenon (and the type of ‘technology’) that are being encountered. For example, you have some types of ‘craft’ that appear to be much more material in nature, with some even appearing to be inhabited. There are reports of those performing maneuvers beyond our accepted capabilities, but then there are others reports of aerial phenomena that exhibit movement as if they have virtually no mass. These are not the same ‘objects’ that are seen traversing from sea to air or making forays into close encounters.
This is where things get fringy. Not only do we appear to be dealing with different types of phenomena, but it’s strongly accepted in the UFO subculture that we are dealing with different... let’s say... groups. Now you don’t have to draw that conclusion, because it’s perfectly plausable that if it was just one ‘group’ (agency, nation, corporation, race, syndicate, species, etc.) the qualitative differences could just be based on function or mission. But it seems to be more than that.
Exactly. It’s obviously ours.
Why do we only see UFO’s in isolated places?
**************
Obviously because they hate to be photographed, so much so that they are even able to blur all images of videos of them. ;)
One possible explanation for this paradox is that aliens are playing a God role- they choose to reveal themselves on occasion in order for believers to know that they are there, but not interfering with our free will...
ET UFOs just don’t pass the logic test.
Oops, logic again. Good point.
Many years ago my wife and I were looking for a house to rent in a rural town.
We answered the “house for rent” and checked this large old house that had a reasonable rent and looked good for our needs.
The owner gives us the tour, and as we were about to leave (and about ready to agree to rent the place), I asked a simple question.
“What is behind that door?”
The landlord hesitated for a moment and answered—”the other tenant”.
So—the UFOs/UAPS may not be from another galaxy—there may be another tenant in the building—and the landlord (.gov) is trying to hide it...
” I believe the government will look us in the eye and lie about them.”
~~~
As well, they should. Lie and deny, with a clear conscience too.
History has demonstrated over and over and over that whenever advances in technology become know, or worse when they become exploited against them, any viable competitive will work diligently to make their own advancements, either matching the technology itself, or some type of counter measures. When the soviets sent up Sputnik, the U.S. brought full resources to bare in their space program. When the U.S. got the atomic bomb, the soviets went full tilt to get their own.
It would be in our best interest not to expose the existence of certain technological leaps.
And yet thousands of civilians claim to be abducted, so it would not appear they only want military to know.
So, in other words, the aliens are flirty?
"The UAP paradox is that the UAPs behave as if they wished to avoid detectionI'm not sure if that's a conclusion supported by the facts. Just because someone/something operates largely away from civilization, doesn't mean it wants to avoid detection. It might mean that, but it doesn't necessarily mean that.
While we understand only a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the planetary makeup of the solar systems in our own galaxy, what little we do know points to rarity of liquid water in the kind of quantity that's abundant on this planet. These craft spend a lot of time around that water. Maybe it's the water - and its depths - they're drawn to and not to the absence of people in these same locations.
IOW, this 'paradox' is conceited. The author thinks it's about us. Maybe it isn't. It's like a colony of ants in a construction field thinking, 'Why do these humans trouble us so by bulldozing all of our hard work," when in fact the humans don't give the ants any thought at all. They're just moving the dirt to build something.
What we have here is s failure to know anything.
We don’t know a damn thing about this phenomenon except some people and radars see some stuff, which we cannot explain.
All the rest is extreme speculation. We don’t know if they are alien craft and if they were we don’t know anything about the aliens.
So how can you make any assumptions about their intentions or anything else.
IMHO seeing something that looks like a relatively small light bouncing around in an erratic pattern doesn’t immediately suggest an alien piloting a craft.
But back to point 1. We don’t know anything.
“Why do we only see UFO’s in isolated places?”
About the first time I ever saw Tony Snow on his new show, Fox News Sunday, he was apologizing for failing to report on a massive flyover of UFOs in Portland, I believe, or somewhere up there, in broad daylight and were seen by everyone.
As far as I know, the event was censored by every other news organization.
The government lies about so much it seems a safe assessment that they would lie about this.
*************
I think the general drift of what you’re saying is probably right. Basically, the government (a very tiny and highly secretive part of it) is concealing highly advanced technology that would open up a Pandora’s Box of issues they would rather not deal with.
Compartmentalization is a feature of life in the world of classified work.
Recall that Bob Lazar invited friends to view scheduled “flights” of strange craft back in the 80’s. Could be that very sophisticated technology has been in development for a long time, which was also the case with the U-2 and similar advanced projects. Just sayin.
These UFO’s are ours. There is no other explanation.
