The anticipated release of a government report about UFOs (or UAPs) later this month has created a lot of public discussion about what might be included in that report, and perhaps more importantly, what might be excluded. But in the end, the government does not know, nor can it, what the UAPs really are, or are not, because they are a paradox.
Briefly stated, a paradox occurs when two statements of supposed facts are perceived to contradict each other. The UAP paradox is that the UAPs behave as if they wished to avoid detection, yet they get detected anyway. Why is that a paradox? Because, any technology that is capable of the reported flight characteristics of the UAPs, capabilities that exceed anything earthly we know about, and indeed, can seem to violate the known laws of physics, must surely be capable of stealth technology vastly exceeding ours — and ours is fairly good, and getting better, despite having been first developed in its present form only in recent decades.
In short, if the UAPs are the product of advanced technology, as they seem to be, then either they wish to hide or not. If they wish to hide, we should never, ever, be able to detect them. If they do not wish to hide, we should see them frequently, under conditions of irrefutable evidence. The paradox is that they do neither. They hide, and then they don't hide. What could be the explanation for that?
I consider the hypothesis of alien spacecraft in our skies plausible but lacking sufficient evidence to persuade an honest skeptic. Indeed, I consider it even less plausible that UAPs are the product of earthly technology, because that also presents a paradox.

That paradox is this: any nation (or organization) that possesses the technology to do what the UAPs are reported to do would have in its hands such power, such force, such a threat that no one could oppose it. Yet we see no evidence of any nation wielding such power, an inaction that would be highly implausible were they to have it.
They’re way too busy fighting Global Warming ?
The whole thing is a conundrum wrapped in an enigma floating in mystery and secrecy.

Seriously, I have no explanation for it. Furthermore, with all the focus on space how/why do we see them here and not there?
RE: with all the focus on space how/why do we see them here and not there?
Why do we only see UFO’s in isolated places? Why don’t they appear at an NFL game or at Times Square, NY where everyone can see them?
What does this have to do with a pair of ducks?

(Bonus points if you can name the episode)
My personal belief is they’re inter-dimensional. If we can “see” them, there’s no reason we cannot “see” them coming into and/or leaving the atmosphere. Right?! Radar only seems to notice them once they’re within it. That makes no sense. Another paradox it seems.
This is not a logical argument. It assumes facts not in evidence, which is that all UAPs have the same policy and the same direction all of the time.
It is easily possible some UAPs are not concerned about being detected by all possible means all of the time.
Let me give a hypothetical. Character x (who or what ever is controlling the UAP) forgot to turn on the automated stealth mode for some particular reason (maybe it was turned off briefly to get better resolution of a particular interesting object or event).
The theory that we can impute motive in these events is without merit.
Maybe they have advanced technology, but still screw up now and then.
Astronauts have supposed seen unknown things in space.
If you think about them as “advanced earthly tech” then the paradox goes away.
Why should be believe the government when it tells us, “They are not ours?” The government lies about so much it seems a safe assessment that they would lie about this.
I steadfastly believe that these are real craft. I believe they are ours. I believe the government will look us in the eye and lie about them.
The reasons they will lie is that many faceted.
1. They do not want to let our enemies know that we have this tech. We want our enemies to spend vast sums on their defensive and offensive capabilities so we can maintain economic superiority.
2. They know the energy generation techniques would disrupt our economy—and the stability of the world economics.
3. They know if they disclosed this technology as ancient (lost eons ago, and recently discovered) it would disrupt the religions of the world and the social fabric of many cultures.
Consider for a second that this was tech that the Nazi’s developed. How would that go over in today’s “woke” culture. (It wouldn’t bother me....but I am not “woke.”)
So, the government will look us in the eye and lie to our face.
People, think Occam’s Razor. These UFO’s are a product of American technological prowess. They are the product of relatively recent DARPA breakthroughs in room temp super-conductivity, power generation and miniaturization. If this was Russian or Chinese tech, they would have already used it to dominate the globe. Thus there is only one plausible explanation left, it’s US tech.
Why is there never ever a clear image of them? License plates can be read from satellites.
“Why don’t they appear at an NFL game or at Times Square, NY where everyone can see them?”
Upon the assumption of alien life, it would appear they want world MILITARY to know, but not the average citizen.
You’d have to ask them to know why.
Good point! :)
They’re sort of like VW Bugs. Interesting, but not attacking anyone.
Will we ever know the full story of UFOs?
We know that they have shown up on radar. Are they from some other part of the galaxy? There are simply more questions than answers.
I suspect we will be told some things about UFOs but that some information related to the phenomenon of UFOs will be remain as classified information.
How do you know we don’t have clear pics of them. If government had clear pics, do you think they would release them without being able to tell us who or what they are?
