Washington D.C. police are offering $10,000 for any information about 42-year-old Maryland resident Kenneth Miles Davis' whereabouts

Police say Davis shot a woman in a road rage incident on May 19 while her two kids were in the car

The driver was struck in the shoulder and a 5-year-old was hit by the shattered glass while the 11-year-old was traumatized

Surveillance footage from the event shows Davis getting out of his car and approaching a gray sedan that he starts shooting

He then turns back and begins to shoot the car behind him, before getting into his Maserati and making a U-turn

Once apprehended, police say, Davis will be charged with assault with a dangerous weapon

He got a PPP loan to open a Maserati dealership. Only sold one car though and then closed.

Has anybody done research on his occupation that supports a Mazerati????

When I worked in NYC, there were some very nice cars parked in NYPD reserved parking areas.

My own wild-*** guess is that he's in law enforcement, national security, or a drug dealer. (That covers just about all the bases, doesn't it?)

"Looks like attempted murder to me."

Only if a white person does it. Then he will be charged with first, second, and third degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon, illegal possession of a firearm, jaywalking, and probably a hate crime.

I wonder what line of work he is in to be able to afford a Maserati?

Years ago our son had a guy point a gun at his head and fire three times. It jammed each time. They charged the perp with assault with a deadly weapon. I asked the DA why not attempted murder. He said that its the same penalty and that the assault is easier to prove.

Not sure right now of make and model - it’s small, got it at Walmart for $20, takes one of those really small memory chips - wide angle, 1024xsomething, excellent quality, no jerky video, date and time recording and in color. It sits just in front of the rear view mirror to really give good distance views. Also records sound.

I refer to the waving excitingly gestures as a flock (middle finger gesture) of these. It gets me in less trouble. I also refer to my middle finger as my driving finger.

I sat on a open murder trial once. The DA attempted that argument. The guy pulled a gun, walked over to the victim (In a feral bar,) hit him on top of the head with the pistol butt, then plugged him. There was no evidence that the two were known to each other.

Only one very Karen on the Jury wanted 1st degree. Her "feeling" was that since he had a gun it was 1st. All 11 others went with 2nd. The Karen got slapped around hard for using "feeling" rather than thought. We found him guilty of 2nd.

He was using a 9mm fmj round which passed though the murder victim then struck another victim in the thigh.

The DA even attempted to call that an attempted murder. We the jury dismissed that charge. If he'd charged discharge of a firearm causing injury, during the commission of a felony, we'd have convicted of that charge.

Didn't really matter anyway, as he was sent to prison for life with no parole.

I check about once a year. He's still locked up.

“I would see it at the mall or gas stations..often.”

The only gas station that takes Home Depot gas points, (the reward for spending money at HD) is frequented by the crowd you’re describing. Its usually very crowded and I’ve witnessed several screaming matches. After one I was pretty sure could have gone Smith and Wesson, I decided I didn’t need any of the HD gas rewards.

When I was a kid, I read the newspaper every morning. Every car chase and shooting started at a bar called, “The Hole In The Wall.” (The building had a three-D hole painted on the wall.) I reasoned that one way not to be a casualty in any of that was to stay out of that bar. I avoid getting gas in bad locations and avoid places that are often featured in the police log. So far, it works great.

The point is that he was charged with first degree murder. Whether there is premeditation is a question for the jury. He didn’t need to form a detailed plan to murder, just malice aforethought. You can get there in a matter of seconds.

I read there’s a $10K reward out there for anyone who turns him in. How many of us, including me, would do that for free!!??

That’s a good explanation. I HOPE that’s the reasoning in this instance.

Yep, In Maryland its virtually impossible if you are not part of the elite connected class.

Same here in New Jersey. And you have to "prove a need" to carry.

We didn’t study “open murder” in law school. We only covered common law definitions.

Interesting. I did not know that was a thing. Thanks for the writeup.
