Washington D.C. police are offering $10,000 for any information about 42-year-old Maryland resident Kenneth Miles Davis' whereabouts
Police say Davis shot a woman in a road rage incident on May 19 while her two kids were in the car
The driver was struck in the shoulder and a 5-year-old was hit by the shattered glass while the 11-year-old was traumatized
Surveillance footage from the event shows Davis getting out of his car and approaching a gray sedan that he starts shooting
He then turns back and begins to shoot the car behind him, before getting into his Maserati and making a U-turn
Once apprehended, police say, Davis will be charged with assault with a dangerous weapon

Our laws are now situational. If YOU did this there’s a strong probability that you would be charged with attempted murder.
But how can a resident of the District legally acquire a handgun in D.C.? Are there any gun stores?

That’s a Gran Turismo , a model that went out of production in 2018. It’s really hard to tell from the side, but I think that’s a 2015 or 2016 based on the wheels. If newer, it’s worth $90K tops and is more likely around a $50-46K car. So, it’s not as much as you’re probably thinking.

In fairness, the engines in Maserati’s from the last decade are generally solid. It’s everything - literally everything - else that sucks.

Long story, but the short version. My neighbor’s boys were on the basketball team with three blacks. The blacks all had their own very expensive cars; the neighbor’s kids had no cars. All five spent a lot time together and I’d talked to the blacks. Nice seeming guys, very put together with nice clothing and well spoken. One day when the two whites were not along, the Captain stopped to collect on a drug debt with a much older black man. The man laughed at him and told him to pound sand. The team captain took out his gun and shot the guy dead. All three, per Florida law, got long sentences even though the other two didn’t shoot anyone. All five them carried guns because it was a status thing. The father had confiscated his kids guns.
The captain’s defense was, “He dissed me. I had to kill him.” When I spoke to the neighbor’s white kids they nodded and said, “Yep. He dissed him and therefore he had to kill them.”
Drovers often see their cars as a projection of who they are. When they’re in the car...they are the car. When someone cuts them off, they feel “dissed.”
In my State it would more likely be second if the victim were dead. First implies premeditation, which requires a plan, rather than just a lack of self control.
Do I need to look?
