A massive new bronze sculpture welcomes visitors to Rockefeller Center in the New York landmark’s first campus-wide show by a single artist.
The 25-foot (7.6 m) tall black "Oracle" with a huge head joins murals, flags and videos at the venue, all created by Sanford Biggers, whose artwork also includes music and performance.

you beat me to it! LOL
Whether that is the real deal or not, catturd2 has it down!
Horrible. Way to destroy Rockefeller Plaza... Which is a massive tourist attraction especially at Christmastime. 😠
I believe it's going on tour... maybe New York's not permanent...
Needs outstreched hands and a big fire pit below them for all it’s worth.
Still looks like OK taking a big dump to me.
OJ.
I thought he died, but I was wrong.
Hideous Don Cheadle statue erected at Rockefeller Center.
Loved it - lol
Looks like the “Incubus” from the movie of that same name, a very young Louie Armstrong or Don Cheadle.
awesome! 👍👍👍
Good gawd. I would call that Cultural Vandalism.
I wonder how much I paid in taxes for Sanford Biggers to create such a hideous sculpture. Without the Donald the trough is open for business.
Ugh.
I had to look: Today the Rockefeller Brothers Fund (RBF) announced $1.5 million in grants to help New York City’s cultural institutions build back a more equitable culture and experience after months of closure during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The six-figure grants will underwrite major exhibitions by women and artists of color—including Sanford Biggers: Codeswitch at the Bronx Museum and Lorraine O’Grady: Both/And at the Brooklyn Museum—as well as programs that highlight local artists and storytellers working throughout the five boroughs.
This initiative of the RBF Culpeper Arts & Culture program will support a range of exhibitions, programs, residencies, and other projects that provide greater visibility and opportunities for artists who are Black, Indigenous, or People of Color, as well as for women and LGBTQ artists, whose work continues to be underrepresented in major American museums.
Whites need not apply.....
There was a time when such an image would be called a “racist stereotype”.
