Just as we at OutKick predicted, the 93rd Academy Awards ceremony tanked to unimaginable lows. The 2021 Oscars fell more than 50% year-over-year in overnight ratings, OutKick has learned. Here’s a look at the past three years:
2021: 8.9/19
2020: 18.1/33
2019: 21.6/36

The only movies making money are from Hallmark, or small independent film producers who do nothing but make movies...and, not ranting about politics and things they know nothing about!!! Best Picture: Nomadland (Huh? Did anyone except the preening Academy snobs see this drool?)
Best Actor: Anthony Hopkins for The Father. This crap is currently available on Amazon Prime at a discount because no one cares.
Best Actress: Frances McDormand for the afore-mentioned Nomadland. Zzzzzzzzzz.

TV makes its money selling ads. At one time ratings mattered because the businesses buying ad time wanted to know that people were watching. Since the purpose of the ads has become corporate grift for the leftist powers (i.e. protection money), the corporations do not care whether anyone is watching or not, as long as their money gets to the people who will ensure that the corporations will not have any trouble from the left.
Who could stomach that sh!t?
Actors and actresses are some of the dumbest people on the planet.
Same reason we stopped watching Prodigal Son.
You’re going to laugh when I tell you what I was watching...Miami Vice re-runs and I loved every minute of it.
I don’t like most of the movies from Hollywood anymore. When I watch, it’s mostly British stuff or old movies. I guess it’s a sign of American cultural decline.
Maybe they should give out awards for worst categories.
BTW I looked up how long the tribute pictures were on the screen of each departed actor for the “In Memorium” segment during previous Oscar ceremonies. Pictures for each actor were on screen for 6-8 seconds. But this year each actor was only on screen for about 3 seconds.
Kind of like how they speed up the credits when they show movies on TV now.
