Lisa Christensen sat through every minute of the trial of Derek Chauvin as prosecutors and the defense each made their case in the killing of George Floyd.
She was an alternate juror, so she did not have a role in the verdict, but in an exclusive interview for "CBS This Morning," she said she was happy with the jury's decision to convict Chauvin after weeks of hard testimony. Christensen said she was reluctant to be on the jury when she was first called up.

Well perhaps my family Court case was the exception? I can’t imagine them re-starting deliberations if one of the seated jurors drops out or gets booted.
“When someone says “I can’t breathe”, the proper response is not to kneel on them while they are prone.”
1 - He was obviously saying he couldn’t breathe when he could.
2 - As the prosecution expert admitted, it IS proper to apply restraint after a person loses consciousness.
3 - You can kneel with one knee on a person and apply no pressure.
4 - They are TAUGHT to keep restraint going in situations like that.
I was an alternate once. Once the jury was about to start deliberating, I was told that I could leave.
Why didn’t the judge insist on the prosecutor charge Chauvin for a specified felony before charging Chauvin for second degree

Good point. The felony was Felony Assault I read. I have not followed trial. Hope Defense raised that issue with motion??
I understand what you are saying but what I wonder is, is all we have to do is say “I can’t breathe” and then we can resist arrest?
If I had trouble breathing I’d put my hands behind my back and go quietly. Not fight.

Yep. I put myself in the mind of the accused during the trial, and the individual jury members during deliberation. It would take a rare and courageous patriot to find not guilty for that jury in that trial.
The best I was hoping for was a single brave juror to make it a hung jury. But nope. Not one.
It will be won on appeal, almost certainly. Assuming this country is even here when it happens. And I think that is WORSE than a 50/50 proposition.

The men on jury must have used their "daddy" emotions to make their decision. Just wow dude!
I am shocked to hear the let her go when others went to deliberate. In our civil jury trial they made 2 alternates wait at courthouse in case jurors got sick etc during deliberations. But they were kept Senate from the picked jurors.
The ave time for jury deliberations is 2 hrs.
No, the men were just cowards, worrying about the black and antifa riots and listening to the crowds chanting right outside. Haven’t heard any of them discussing their emotions and getting chills when they looked at Chavin. That’s feminine.
