“No. Alternates are not witnesses to deliberations.”

Well perhaps my family Court case was the exception? I can’t imagine them re-starting deliberations if one of the seated jurors drops out or gets booted.

I am shocked to hear the let her go when others went to deliberate. In our civil jury trial they made 2 alternates wait at courthouse in case jurors got sick etc during deliberations. But they were kept Senate from the picked jurors.
