Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA): “Can we agree that if you took [Chinese] President Xi Jinping and turned him upside and shook him, the World Health Organization would fall out of his pocket?”
Dr. Fauci: “I don’t think I can answer that question, sir.”

“I didn’t like my mom from my earliest memories at three years old”
You got me beat. When I was in second grade I wrote a very cryptic note, “I hate otherm”. Such a clever child LOL
Congrats!!!
.
Great ideas! I never thought about victims of disasters needing household stuff, but they could probably use it more than anybody.
Thank you.
Thank you , all , for understanding my love , but not like statement. You are good FRiends.
Amen. Thank you.
Thanks again for breakfast, lysie.
I completely understood your comment about like vs. love. I think most people can relate to that more than having two wonderful, loving, and likeable parents. There’s more broken people in this world than there are “fixed”.... at least that’s what I’ve lived.
Onward and upward.....grateful for the good and decent people in our lives, including our keyboard kin.
When I was little, I was taught to be a person of integrity. This means that I maintain high moral standards, and do the right thing even when no one is watching.
After I grew up, I started applying this principle to every area of my life, but in doing so, I encountered opposition. Whenever I told the truth, I was told, “You take things too seriously.” Whenever I worked hard, others would say, “It’s not worth working hard.” For a while, I wondered if I really needed to continue to do the right thing and if I could bend the rules a bit. However, whenever I did or said something that contradicted my beliefs, I would lose my inner peace. From then on, I made up my mind not to compromise my values just to please others.
If you have had similar experiences to mine, why not ask yourself some questions? If you send your car to a mechanic for repairs, do you want the mechanic give your car the best service? If you allow a financial advisor to handle your money, do you expect him to give you the best return for your investment? Of course you do. Integrity is one of the greatest of life’s treasures that you cannot live without.
Integrity shapes your character and reveals your true faithfulness. Apply it to every area of your life. Perhaps, in the short run, you might get ripped off. However, in the long run, as long as you stay true to your values, you will be the one in charge of your life.
lysie adding, my mother and her family.
Onward and upward.....grateful for the good and decent people in our lives, including our keyboard kin.
Yes! So true.
So true, lysie. It’s so nice you had such a quality mother. One person can make all the difference in the world. It just takes one.
So, I am curious about this Jack Posobiec twitter post:

Yesterday he had tweeted “tomorrow”. Now he has tweeted “today”. I don’t think he’s got that Glenn Beck/Sean Vannity tic toc virus, so I’m thinking something might be coming out today.
Good morning, lysie!
First you say something nice about us, and then you ply us with BACON!
You are the best!!
I have been meaning to say “Thank you!” for the scriptural reminders you post each day.
Today’s was very appropos, in the light of our discussions here about our parents, as the Lord made my paths straight and it has made all the difference as to where I am now in life.
And I am grateful to Him for that.
“keyboard kin”.
What a nice phrase, Judy.
And so true.
First you say something nice about us, and then you ply us with BACON!
So, you are saying it worked? LOL
Yes!
ABSOLUTELY!
