For all practical purposes, my mom’s mind had regressed that she was a little girl a good portion of the time, and kept forgetting they were dead.
Even if she was in her right mind I would have NEVER said “Please forgive me. I forgive you. I love you.”
I don’t even know why I woke up in the middle of the night to see her. All I can guess is divine intervention for both of us, for which I am grateful.

when my daughter lived in California I sent her a bunch of work clothes since I’m retired. Whatever she didn’t want she gave to a charity that helped women get job interviews and start their jobs.
Also victims of natural disasters and fires/floods.
Biden Admin Feels the Heat, Won’t Make Statement on China COVID Origins for 90 Days
On Wednesday, the Biden administration announced that statements relating to the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic won’t be made for another 90-days. The comments come after President Donald Trump’s original theory that the virus leaked from a Wuhan lab seem to have validity.
On Tuesday, the Biden Admin shut down the State Department’s investigation into the COVID origins. On Wednesday, Biden told the intelligence community to “redouble their efforts to collect and analyze information that could bring us closer to a definitive conclusion, and to report back to me in 90 days.”
How convenient! After spreading lies that there was “no possible way” that COVID could have been leaked from a Chinese lab, Democrats and the Biden Administration are now going to stay quiet for 90 days now that the “lab-leak theory” seems to have validity.

Back in early 2020, when COVID-19 emerged, I called for the CDC to get access to China to learn about the virus so we could fight it more effectively. The failure to get our inspectors on the ground in those early months will always hamper any investigation into the origin of COVID-19.
Nevertheless, shortly after I became President, in March, I had my National Security Advisor task the Intelligence Community to prepare a report on their most up-to-date analysis of the origins of COVID-19, including whether it emerged from human contact with an infected animal or from a laboratory accident. I received that report earlier this month, and asked for additional follow-up. As of today, the U.S. Intelligence Community has “coalesced around two likely scenarios” but has not reached a definitive conclusion on this question. Here is their current position: “while two elements in the IC leans toward the former scenario and one leans more toward the latter – each with low or moderate confidence – the majority of elements do not believe there is sufficient information to assess one to be more likely than the other.”
I have now asked the Intelligence Community to redouble their efforts to collect and analyze information that could bring us closer to a definitive conclusion, and to report back to me in 90 days. As part of that report, I have asked for areas of further inquiry that may be required, including specific questions for China. I have also asked that this effort include work by our National Labs and other agencies of our government to augment the Intelligence Community’s efforts. And I have asked the Intelligence Community to keep Congress fully apprised of its work.
The United States will also keep working with like-minded partners around the world to press China to participate in a full, transparent, evidence-based international investigation and to provide access to all relevant data and evidence.
It seems that the Biden Administration is just trying to cover for their “experts” including Dr. Anthony Fauci who need to be asked a lot of questions that need answering.

Anyway, I think they were from USO.
I have a soft spot for the smaller, unsung charities, especially those in small towns. They get the job done under often difficult circumstances, without access to major fundraising sources.

Got a kick out of the article’s author calling HB “the Beach”. Anyone who lived in SoCal knew that “the Beach” refers to the Pacific coastline, just as”the shore” refers to the Atlantic coastline. My folks had a place in Newport Beach. When we’d go there, we’d refer to “going to the beach”.
For years I took my kids to HB every summer Saturday morning. We’d be sure to clear out before the tourists started showing up at around 1 pm.
