Sir David Attenborough’s upcoming documentary, “The Year Earth Changed,” romanticizes the global lockdowns in 2020 for proving how “the natural world” would “do much better if we weren’t there at all.” Similar attitudes have circulated on social media since last March: from the “nature is healing” meme to Extinction Rebellion stickers calling humanity a “disease” and COVID the “cure” plastered across the East Midlands.
An increasing number of liberal democratic governments are flirting with utilitarian approaches to policymaking, and removing any limiting principles on the scope of their overreach. With herd immunity on the horizon, COVID is expiring as a palatable justification to a paranoid public for intrusive nanny-statism. The next pretext they’re likely to use for controlling lives and livelihoods? Climate change
Can we have all the environmental wackos volunteer to be the first to go extinct?

Petition urges US First Lady Jill Biden to restore White House garden to ‘former glory
More than 50,000 people have signed an online petition calling for US First Lady Jill Biden to restore the Rose Garden at the White House to its “former glory”.
Ex-First Lady Melania Trump had some trees and some of the more colourful flowers removed last year.
According to the petition, the changes amounted to “a boring tribute to herself”.
Presidents often use the garden for addresses and press conferences.
Although the petition says Mrs Trump had “the cherry trees, a gift from Japan” removed, US media have pointed out that they were in fact crab apple trees and were replanted elsewhere in the grounds.

I don’t have a lot of nick knacks or clothes. My clutter comes from paper work laying around on every surface that I am not sure what to do with and the stupid little notes I jot down and NEVER refer back to.
Today I managed to get 3 items almost to where they will go. Got to tired to go further. :-(

Paperwork has always been my problem. I’ve gotten better about it, but I still accumulate it. When my designated drawers get too full I get rid of some.

Not mine, because I store them all flattened. Fire hazard yes. Putting more useless things in them, no. I find other places for those things :-)
Actually I think we have saved quite a bit of money store in boxes. This is our third move with the same set. And Shauns work paid for the first set. They’re getting a bit flimsy, the well used ones. But they still work! My favorite are the kitchen boxes. Those things are pretty tall, and the cardboard is super thick. They are great to move refrigerators and furniture on. But if you fill them with anything you have to have a dolly.
Yesterday I was feeling pretty good. My oxygen levels were up, but now today again they are lower and I am not functioning very well.
He’s such a smart cat. He must understand words, to know it was for him. Or he’s just nosy :-)

He doesn’t understand the words, but he understands my tone of voice and that I was talking to him.
Most animals understand tones. You can tell what a horse is thinking by their ears. If i was riding and the horse was anxious, I would talk to them in a calming tone, and since they normally focus on one thing at a time, they would usually listen to me and calm down.
