Since we’ve been talking about decluttering, moving, downsizing, etc.....I was just listening to a video about the subject and the person said something that made so much sense.
She was talking about getting rid of clutter, especially the ‘I might need it some day’ stuff. She said ‘why hang onto that box (or bag) saying ‘I might need it some day’. There will always be more boxes (and bags)!’
So true! And if you keep all those boxes around, you’re going to be tempted to keep more stuff, because you have ‘someplace’ to store it!!
I had about 5 large bags of old clothes, varying sizes. I have kept them for years, never to go back and wear anything again. I finally tossed them all - I just said to myself if I ever get into the smaller sizes again, I’ll be wanting something new anyway!
We filled a dumpster and it was taken away yesterday. My cleaning lady has been here all morning. Place is decluttered. Photographer coming this afternoon. Then we have to plan to be out all day, every day from May 10th for showings. Offers being accepted May 17th.....hoping for a good one!
One thing I found in the furnace room that I forgot was there, and had wondered about it a few weeks ago, my father’s OLD typewriter. I mean, really old. I will display it somewhere in the new place now that I’ve found it.

That is so true! I used to keep boxes and bags. I have a huge walk in closet that was so full when I opened the door I risked being knocked down by an avalanche. I got rid of boxes and bags and clothes, etc., and now I get in there. If I need a box or bag I can buy one.

I will NEVER u derstand why in the hell Trump did not get rid of Wray, Trump made a whole hell of a lot of mistakes in personnel MAJOR MISTAKES!! Obama did more damage to the country than ANYONE he destroyed the country from within!! IRS, DOJ, FBI, CIA, STATE, PENTAGON, racial divisions the first black POTUS I utterly HATE that man with my entire heart and soul I now firmly believe that his se one term was stolen Romney was a horrible candidate HOWEVER the country was in really bad shape YET the bastard won!! I always believed that Johnson was the worst ever BUT Trump has shown everyone just how much damage Obama did how he infiltrated our entire system with Marxist commies!!!
Mobile home to be arriving around end of July, but I’ve been warned that it could be delayed because covid. I’m hoping it will arrive on time - otherwise I will have to camp out in older granddaughter’s room and kick her in with her sister for awhile. I don’t like sleeping over at their place because my multiple trips during the night for bladder adjustment make me feel like I’m such a pain in the neck. They say they never hear me and nobody is bothered, but I think they’re just being nice lol.

When my husband was getting physical therapy for Parkinson’s they taught him to walk like that. Lift the knees up high. It does look doofy.
I agree with you. Trump, being an outsider, had to rely on recommendations on hiring. Chris Cristi recommended Wray. People can put on a show of agreeing with his agenda while going behind his back, as it looks like Barr did.

My gun buddy that goes to the gun shows with me has several guns so has ammo in different calibers (as opposed to me, who only has to worry about one!). She kept trying to shop from memory then when she’d get back home she’d say ‘I already had 500 rounds of X; I needed to buy Y!’.
Anyway, she finally did a list yesterday and she felt she was missing ammo from the last show we went to. We could both recall the booths she bought at, but no ammo to be found. She was blaming the cat for burying it under grocery sacks (cat likes to play with them). She texted me this morning-she found the ammo on the couch buried under clothes!!
Told her that she owed the cat a treat because she was talking smack about the cat.
I had to order Proby lil soups from Chewy as it’s hard to find. He was so excited as I opened the box, I told him it was for him. Like a little kid.
ROFL! That cat is a prepper!
My son makes his own ammo. He bought some contraption that makes it faster.

After a rocky relationship over the past few months, the former president and vice president are making amends.
The instructor at the range does the same thing-and I’ve seen all the bags of empty brass for sale! Definitely makes sense for someone who knows what they’re doing and shoots a lot, considering how difficult some calibers are to come by right now.
