Julian Edelman was a dog for the Patriots for years. ‘Wes Welker 2.0’ retires with 620 receptions for 6822 receiving yards and 36 touchdowns. Edelman was a three-time Super Bowl champion and Super Bowl LIII MVP. He was the last crucial position player from the dynasty left in New England. With the dynasty officially over how will the team respond?

Smart man. Get out now, while you still have your health and positive outlook and strong marriage.
You can always find some worthy product to endorse if you need a few more shillings.

I think he gets in too. But, there are a lot of sporting talking heads who think he won’t. Considering many of these people have ballots, I’m not sure they can nor should be dismissed.
I read yesterday that there are 14 Super Bowl MVPs who haven’t made it into the Hall (14 that are eligible. There are another five or so that are still playing or haven’t been out long enough that look like locks for Canton).

Brady has a better 20 year average Super Bowl win percentage than Stephen Curry’s 3 point shot percentage

Good point. Honestly, I hadn’t heard that name since I was kid. Completely forgot about him.
Maybe Edelman is 5th.

Like Blazing Saddles, that movie could NEVER be made today. Not even close.

Moe Berg was quite a character. I’m not sure how good his sports stats were.

I don’t think he’s Canton level. A very good player yes, but in my opinion, not worthy of the HOF.

Hollywood did a biopic on Berg in the last couple of years called
The Catcher Was a Spy. I don't know if you've seen it. But, if you haven't don't waste your time. It's an ABOMINATION.
Hollywood took some liberties not the least of which was making Berg a quasi-closeted homosexual....because of course they did. I could not believe what I was seeing as I watched the movie. I guess his family wasn't pleased.

He wasn't ... German Lutheran. I'm no Yankee fan, but his Protestant faith was depicted in "Pride of the Yankees".
