Commissioner of Baseball Robert D. Manfred, Jr. issued the following statement today regarding the 2021 All-Star Game:
"Over the last week, we have engaged in thoughtful conversations with Clubs, former and current players, the Players Association, and The Players Alliance, among others, to listen to their views. I have decided that the best way to demonstrate our values as a sport is by relocating this year’s All-Star Game and MLB Draft.
"Major League Baseball fundamentally supports voting rights for all Americans and opposes restrictions to the ballot box. In 2020, MLB became the first professional sports league to join the non-partisan Civic Alliance to help build a future in which everyone participates in shaping the United States. We proudly used our platform to encourage baseball fans and communities throughout our country to perform their civic duty and actively participate in the voting process. Fair access to voting continues to have our game’s unwavering support.
Just emailed MLB telling them I was not coming back, and that they are supporting fraudulent election practices. It felt good. :-)

The Nazis in power in Washington have pro sport’s nuts in a vise and are turning the handle. Every sports franchise plays in a city...and every city is run by fascists in this country. Between the fascist cities and the fascist federal government, they are putting the squeeze on all of them. And the CEOs of the sports enterprises - just like every CEO of practically every enterprise in this perverted country - have linguine spines, and will dance to the tune our fascist rulers are playing.
Because the government will take them out if they don’t.
This is just another part of America becoming a dictatorship. In a dictatorship, the dictators dictate, and everyone who wants to survive follows orders. We let this country fall into dictatorship. We fired not one shot to stop it. We get what we deserve.

So true. Between that, and Manfred’s obsession with changing rules like runners on 2nd base in extra innings, MLB has jumped the shark.
Bad decision, caving and catering to #woke fascists. This is going to cost them ticket sales, viewership, and revenue, and they con’t be able to figure out why. (The NFL still hasn’t.)
If it bothers them that much, maybe they sholuld move the Braves out of Atlanta. There are plenty of cities that would love to have them; they’re a pretty good team.

Absolutely... idiots like Manfred cave because the one side is always complaining and screaming and when the other side is being logical, patient, polite and quiet, they go along with the complainers and screamers because it’s easier. Rest assured if Manfred finds out the fax machine can’t keep up, there are hundreds of thousands who have emailed to say “see ya later” and the phone won’t stop ringing, they’ll get the picture.
I say Portland, the perfect woke city. They’ll have to change the name.
