Editor’s Note: In the wake of the January 6 Capitol riot, the Biden administration ordered the U.S. Navy to stand down its global operations and subject all members to what it characterizes as training to recognize and combat”extremism.” The piece below was written by an active duty military member who has about 20 years of service. This member has been deployed overseas in the war on terrorism multiple times. The piece describes the Navy’s “extremism stand-down,” what it includes, and what it leaves out. Ted Mahan is not the member’s real name.
Recently, my Navy unit held an “extremism stand-down” training that was required of all Department of Defense personnel, as mandated by Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin here. According to Vice Admiral John B. Nowell, Jr, the purpose of the training was “to ensure service members and civilian personnel clearly understand the damaging effects of extremism and begin developing more effective, sustainable ways to eliminate the corrosive impacts extremist activity can have on our Force.”

This sh*t is going to go on as long as “Lloyd” is in charge, and as long as the senile pervert and his whore Veep are around!!
They have to swear an oath to Der Fuhrer
It no longer matters what the violent and illegal act is—what matters is “who” does it.
Got it.
Its why the FBI has particularly going against supposed “Oath Keepers” who may have been protesting at the Capitol
The deep state knows that many of its LEO and armed forces are NOT on-board with the new deep-state fascism.
Funny, as a retired officer, my conversations with those still in show a very pro Trump bias. The few I have talked with since the Biden collection of buttwipes started running these “training sessions” have apparently done two things: 1)Strengthen the Trump support, and 2) Increase the antipathy towards the left.
Keep it up there, leftist dorks. This just might not turn out as you expect.
Do we know if Navy personnel will be ordered to DC for measures designated as “protection” ?
Bite-me to Iran: I’m standing down the US Navy for political indoctrination, so whatever ya’ll want, nobody will stand in your way . . .
What could possibly go wrong?
The United States military is going to be interesting going to war without any white males from the South. Should be quite an experiment.
“Should be quite an experiment”
I’m sure the PLA is terrified of confronting angry trannies in high heels.
Pointing out that sodomy is perverted “Extreme”?
Sounds like preparation to surrender to Beijing.
What you said +1!
I’m 30+ yrs retired SCPO and we had similar “training” stand downs during the Carter regime and they just intensified sailors enmity and distrust of his administration.
‘Would you fire on civilians?’
No mention of the Chinese Navy expansion or it’s implications. War fighting is not the concern these days.
When will Xiao Baidin lower the US flag and raise the red one?

After all of our “diversity” training at GD, I was singled out for sexual harassment. It was for a going-away roast of a female coworker. The woman said it was not harassment, but that doesn’t matter. What mattered was that a third party woman, who had apparently enjoyed herself at the luncheon later decided that if another uninvolved person had heard the roast that THEY might have deemed it as sexual harassment. And, this woman who accused me stated that she didn’t want to be a “condoner.” That was a word from our diversity training. A condoner is someone who witnesses something and says nothing about it. Being a condoner is tantamount to being the harasser herself. So, to avoid punishment, an uninvolved witness must decry the activity, loudly and clearly.
This reminds me of the Stasi from East Germany. East Germans were forever turning in other people just to prove that THEY were loyal to East Germany. It didn’t matter to anyone whether the person turned in was disloyal or not. What mattered was that people were willing to turn in their parents, brothers or sisters. That’s where this all leads.
Now we have a situation where people must trust the person behind them. What will the impact be when those soldiers do not trust the people behind them?
Also, it’s pretty common for soldiers to call each other homo’s or something stronger. They don’t mean it as a comment on the LGBT, it’s just their macho talking. But, with the new attitude they may be turned in because...well, condoning. Not allowed.
I have mentioned this before, but it bears repeating. The older political commissars in the Soviet Union told the new guys, “say as little as possible because something that is okay today, policy even, can get you executed tomorrow.”
Well, here we are. Soviet Union 2.0.
