Rhodium is now about $28K/oz, compared to around $2K a couple of years ago. If only I had a time machine.
Last spring we had a red tail hawk in the neighborhood that perfected driving smaller birds into windows. It would kill/stun the bird and then the hawk would snatch it from next to the house and take it to the orchard for a quick snack. He knocked it off after the trees got leaves.

A recent caller to the Garret Lewis show in Tucson says nearly all of the new COVID cases in the local hospital are illegal aliens.
Just had a thought.... since we already have a fence with barbed wire on top and guards - why don’t we just keep the illegals in DC with the congresscritters? That way the politicians can see the direct result of their immigration policies.
Just a thought.
My friend’s husband is a Border Patrol agent in El Paso area. I posted that reports say they are releasing Covid positive illegals into US and asked if that were true. This is her response:
“Yes that is true! They are releasing COVID positive people. But also BP arrested some people 2 weeks ago that are on the FBI terrorist watch list from Iraq/Iran. It’s not just people from Mexico coming in. They are so overwhelmed by the amount of people that they aren’t catching everyone either. Pray for our country because we are under attack from the inside.”

For me the whole “Navy had plans to do away with all electronic navigational systems” points to the terrible state of training in our fleet.
“when I was in and the ships were wood and the men were steel” da da da da dah....we had to demonstrate through a week of refresher training that we could fight the ship without any of the electronics. So we would be doing an activity and they would say... your satnav just went down (switching to xxx)... your xxx just went down.... switching to visual triangulation and/or celestial navigation. Had to show it for almost all our systems: navigation, tracking and weapons control, engineering, auxiliary systems, damage control....even made the Disbursing Officer and Classified materials guys go through their evacuation and destruction protocols.
The culmination of the week was “killing off” all the senior officers and NCOs to see how the crew handled things for about 15-20 minutes prior to the abandoning ship drill.

“Science” is never invoked by the political left to illuminate, educate, or guide.
It’s used to terminate discussion, to shut down debate. It’s employed in exactly the same way “racist” has been used for decades. Not as a legitimate charge but a bomb thrown into a conversation in an effort to “other” the person or persons the smear is directed toward.
It’s a means closing off further dialogue, a bully’s tactic.
