Re: "Are we supposed to believe the government is helpless against this seemingly almighty foe?"

Very good point.

Q is allegedly a USA intelligence officer.

The USA intelligence community might not be able to find Q or stop all Q-drops, but they can definitely trace back enough computer links to find Q accomplices or Q facilitators, which would make Q-drops a very dangerous and very expensive hobby.

By the way, are the general public aware that Q went "dark" (silent) in mid-November 2020? As far as I know, he has not written anything for 10 weeks.

Regarding the whole Q thing (is he deep state psy-ops? Friend or foe?), the fact that there is so much emotionally-charged division on our side regarding the subject suits our divide-and-conquer enemies perfectly. That’s the cherry on top.

Do nothing and trust the plan. Let the other side win. It’s all part of the plan. Don’t worry.

Precisely. That’s exactly what I think “Q” is all about. I have noticed that every time there is a political inflection point approaching, in which inaction by our side would appear to be wildly self-destructive, “Q” dutifully appears, to lull everyone back to sleep with assurances that we can “trust the plan.”

“Q” is just a tranquilizer dart designed to keep us from doing anything to stop the creeping leftist tyranny overtaking our nation. It couldn’t be more obvious.

Exactly. Social/Behavior Contagion is based on emotions.

And frankly....they are winning

Excellent point! Yet only we political junkies seem to know that. Thus, the general public are fertile ground for the new regime's inexhaustible supply of agitprop. They'll keep this going and milk their well-engineered "QAnon threat" for as long as they can get away with it. The deafening silence from the uniparty's GOP wing will only serve to prolong the hoax (as it did with the Russia hoax), but truth wills out in the end, and the ballot box blowback in the midterms will make '94 & 2010 pale in comparison.

The Q movement is a useful tool that the so-called deep state uses to paint the right as nuts and to justify cracking down on personal freedoms*. You are right that they don’t view Q followers as a real threat to their power, but the risk of some Q followers becoming radicalized and doing something stupid was real and something they probably wanted to happen as it helped the narrative. (*Note: I don’t think it started out that way. It began as a silly LARP that at some point was taken over by some legitimately sketchy people.)

Also, the question you ask can also be used to show just how weak of an oracle the mighty Q was. If Q had been a legitimate insider posting secrets and plans, the anti-Q crackdown on social media would have occurred much, much earlier.

Yes. That was another part of it. Do nothing. Don’t protest the Russian hoax. Or impeachment. Or anything else. Just sit back and trust the plan.

Hadn't thought of it that way - excellent point.

I never could swallow the hook on the whole QAnon deal. It just seemed ‘off’ on a lot of knee-jerk levels - too many. It was like General Montgomery leaking his tactical plans to General Rommel before the Battle at El Alamein. Whoever devised it started to overthink the plumbing too early on.

<< Isn’t it obvious by now that this whole thing is a crock of BS? >>

Yes, the entire thing is a crock, from the beliefs of the gullible Qanon cult itself to the gov’t labeling its followers an existential threat. BS from top to bottom and every which way. But the gov’t swamp needs a bogeyman and the Q cultists have their own ....special needs.

Agreed, that aspect of the phenomenon never made sense to me. Seems like the thought process, assuming (arguendo) Q was legit, overlooked an inherently fatal flaw.

So basically the whole Q movement was a set-up by the deep state to ensnare the gullible right.

Where your stupid theory falls apart is thinking that if you are right, that Trump wasn't aware of this derp state fake Q plot, despite surrounding himself with loyal military intelligence.

If the Q program was a derp state, FBI, CIA, Democrat, media, or LARP operation, he would have known it and shut it down post-haste.

So you and the rest of the know-it-all keyboard warriors can stow that particular clown theory, and all others like them.

Please think before running your mouth.

ThankQ.

Their seizing on this supposed "QAnon threat" reeks of desperation. Like the barb wire fencing and military deployment circling the capitol, the image is that of a regime afraid of its people. It's not a sign of strength, it's a sign of weakness and fear.

Their hysterical overreaction to Jan6 and Qanon is a pretext for suppressing political dissent.

By suppressing free speech, they are saving democracy, doncha know?

The QAnon “threat” is a hoax, for sure. But the hoax serves the new rulers well as a shiny object distraction while they attempt to destroy the republic.

The main reason the derps (and some embed shills here on FR) demonize Q is to keep the information that Q has revealed from the people. That is what the derps fear the most.

Using it to paint those on the right as enemy combatants is just a side-benefit for them. The information is what is important.
