Excuse me if this is a stupid question, but if QAnon is such an existential threat to our republic, as the media and federal law enforcement agencies would have us believe, why haven't they captured or neutralized this threat? After all, we're not talking about cave-hopping, Tora-Bora dwelling Jihadis. The alleged threat isn't emanating from some faraway land. Supposedly, this group is home grown and the US government, we are also led to believe, is keeping close tabs on them. Yet, with the plethora of mind-bogglingly sophisticated tracking and surveillance technology at their disposal, are we supposed to believe the government is helpless against this seemingly almighty foe? Isn't it obvious by now that this whole thing is a crock of BS? There, I said it.

Somebody in the world knows lots of things that the general public is unaware of, which is why most of the information was available open source.

No doubt about it - Constitutionally protected speech. But idle, benevolent chatter is decidedly not what the administration and its media echo chamber tell us is going on in QAnon world. They speak of sinister, 'elaborate terrorist plots', well beyond the planning stage, hatched by newly activated sleeper cells consisting of armed and dangerous insurgents hellbent on toppling the government. That's a lot more than just barroom banter. If true, it would constitute an eminent threat, based on actionable Intel.

I heard Bill O’Reilly say something very close to this one time. I don’t think there was any recording of the event.

He said the reason we have conflict in this country is that the advertisers want income from their products and the stations need the money from ad buys in order to be competitive. If the news is milquetoasty, the people don’t want to watch it. So both sides—the Left-wing news and the Right-wing news—spice it up to make it as entertaining as it can be.

He blamed the division between Left and Right on this practice.
