However, James Spann, a weather prognosticator in Birmingham, AL, was on the air when he received word that his house was demolished by one of the tornados. He excused himself, checked on his wife while off-air, and then returned to the broadcast. What sang-froid.
My family is in the southern edge of central Alabama and we have just had cloudy skies, no rain during the day.
