What you posted reminded me, yesterday I was wondering that sense New York or Massachusetts can say that nobody can enter their state unless they’ve been in quarantine first, why can’t Texas do that? That would include the illegals.
I think many are figuring it out. Within weeks of Biden’s inauguration, gasoline prices jumped.
And they are continuing a steep climb. They can’t be that stupid to not see the correlation. Just wait till their taxes are increased!

Aww, I love the Sweet Cow stories. I love people that take good care of them.
We’re really going to miss our neighbors cows. We don’t have any birdering our property. Hubby had a couple of them trained to come over and he would feed them grass from our property. Or hay, whatever it is we grew. They would see him and come running up to the fence. It seemed to make the bull mad though. He was snorting and flinging snot around. That was pretty scary!

Gertrude, my dad’s favorite hen, was my first drinking buddy. She would fly the coop every morning and go with my dad to get their feed, then get into the feed bucket and eat as he walked with it. She came into the house a few times. And she REALLY liked beer!

How cute. I can’t wait to get chickens! Somehow this property seems more set up for them. We have a structure not too far from the house that could be converted to a chicken coop. Even though we had more acreage on the other one. But we wanted the chickens close by. Both to be able to discourage Predators but to also watch them. Some Neighbors at the cabin had chickens and they had a chicken viewing area set up. We would go over there and sit at their chicken viewing table and watch them while chatting. I was surprised how entertaining they are. Gertrude sounds adorable. Did she ever overindulge?

It was crazy, and some of the roosters didn’t really crow, the kind of croaked, lol... my neighbors thought it was hilarious. I have very patient neighbors (they get free eggs and goats milk soap)
I hope it’s for crime control and not to babysit.

Yeah, most folks only keep one rooster, if they are like us they butcher them for meat. That’s DH’s job... he does it the hard way - chases them with a .22, lol. He skins them so we don’t have to pluck them. It sounds horrible, but it really isn’t as bad as I thought. I know my birds have had a good life and got to run around on an acre and do chickeny things and I feel better about it than buying chickens at a grocer. We do buy chicken from a local farmer too, and his chickens are raised like ours so I know they are happy birds.
My favorite Loony Tunes character is Foghorn the Leghorn. About 10 years ago, I excitedly stood in line with the rest of the kids to have my picture taken with him. I hope he doesn’t get canceled.
