I swear, if I didn’t know any better, I would say that after FR had to migrate to the new server it seems the site is sensitive. I don’t know if it works differently for different people based on what browser one uses.

I’ve heard folks say that a google advanced search specifying the site freerepublic.com is a good way to find what you‘re looking for here.
Also, one can replace the asterisk in the following URL with any word of interest to see if it already a Keyword (and new ones are still being added)

It was. I had tears streaming down my face while I was reading. I wanted to stop reading, but I knew I shouldn’t. The horror I experienced reading about it is nothing compared to the horrors the little ones experienced living through and dying from it. The least I can do is realize what they’ve been through.
I don’t know how we’ll do it, but we have to stop this and never allow it to happen again. If enough of us know what these children have been through, maybe that will become an important factor in ending it. I didn’t want to know, and I’ll have sleepless/restless nights now that I do know some of it, but it’s important that we all know to whatever extent we each can handle the information.

At the very last second of the video, a strange “full moon” appears by the Washington Monument. Could be a fly. Maybe this video is sections spliced together?
Wow. This would make for a great actual mask. But it would probably have to be an extra large mask worn by a large person.
There are a few words that could be edited out to still make the point and make it fit on a mask.

I remember that sort of scenario too except for the Cafes - they were open after Church for lunch, and a lot of those weren’t open either.
In fact all of the businesses on the square were closed - you had to drive to those locations that were on the highway in between towns.
Then in the late 60s, we had “blue” laws. You couldn’t even buy a light bulb on Sunday. Ha.

Bloody Mary with a kick ... like from a mule. Most simply - clamato juice (clam and tomato), as many shakes of tabasco sauce as you like, worcestershire sauce, black pepper. Celery salt on the rim, dunk a stalk of celery and put a big shrimp on the rim so you don’t get too tipsy too fast. All my favourite people have a bottle of extra spicy clamato juice in the fridge.
(I can see the scene now - Bartender: "Listen here, slim! You can SAY you're 3,324 years old, but I want to see some ID!")
