I notice that they want to give the impression they aren’t just making it up, so they stress that privacy will be protected with fake names unless otherwise noted.
So you finally come to a “real” name, and it’s just the first name! Ha! Why bother? Oh, to make it seem “documented”.

They use screen shots of online conversations and texts to make it seem real - but the same people who fake the news for us daily can just type out fake conversations and take screen shots.

The “gateway drug” the article identifies, the groundwork that sets the stage for cult membership is that, “QAnon proponents are conditioned to believe that their rights are being infringed upon — Silicon Valley is silencing them, the press is lying to them, Democrats are cheating them — and that they should do something about it. “

I should suspect there would be a "few" Old Farts (aka veterans) who would pick up any slack. In a heartbeat. (And probably fight like wildcats for places on the roster.)

How much the DS/rats would enjoy dealing with folks with those attitudes and long-standing Payback Chits (not to mention lack of nuance plus general disregard for ROE's when their families are in Harm's Way) should serve as a hint that they should leave the MIL alone and deal with the devil they know.

I'm laying in extra supplies if they do not choose wisely.

This is the key to any power conservation in an emergency: calculate each item used and keep track of total power {wattage} consumption - ration. It is unwise to run consumption too close to total capacity.

The technology is advancing in this category of consumption but I have doubts that a central air unit will operate on that system, certainly not with many other appliances or devices running at least. Usual consumption 3.5 - 18 killowatts - depending on the size of the unit. Starting wattage is higher.

The other issue with household backup power is whether you incorporate auto 'start' with a power failure... requires regular starting and testing of the transfer switch and generator starter mechanism. Any household equipment operating at that time may or may not require a 're-start'. Talk to a hospital emergency power system engineer/technician.

Without instant transfer it is probably best to turn off all heavy power usage devices and start the generator manually. [I wonder if an 8kw generator requires a stout arm. :) ]
