And another washed up actress yapping years later.
“Help my career...”
I would not have a hard time believing it. He seems to be a leftist prick.
It has been known for years how he treated them. I could have sworn I had read what he did to her a long while ago. But, it may have been via a third party. Always liked her.
I’m not sure that even constitutes “abuse”
Mean. Yes.
But I’ve had far worse bosses say far worse things and I’m a guy.
Considering some of the things this human waste has said — including making fun of the way cancer survivors look (https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2017/apr/27/joss-whedon-tweet-demeans-cancer-survivors-hit-rep/) — I’m pretty good with someone going after him. Shoot, throw in lefty-on-lefty iViolence and I’m actually kinda liking it. :)
Let’s just call it right now. All male bosses are evil (unless they identify as female, or have brown skin. Extra protection points for both and some sort of disability)
I believe her. I’m a huge Buffy fan and I have heard stories like this one before, about Joss Whedon. Even James Marsters (Spike) had bad experiences with the guy.
I wonder if SMG will say anything.
Congratulations to Charisma for speaking out.
What I find disturbing is his completely inappropriate comments about her pregnancy. Is she going to keep it? That’s a lawsuit right there.
And calling her fat, while she was pregnant, is beyond the pale in Hollywood.
Joss is a man’s name?
“nother leftist “feminist” man accused of abusing women.”
Except she’s openly religious and he’s a woman-hating queer.
And yet, she cashed the checks and embraced the stardom.
Damn I love me some #MeToo.
Wow, you say there are mean bosses out there? They even yell at you sometimes? Who’d have thunk it?
The only vampire slayer named “Buffy” is Christie Swenson.
LOOK AT “me 2”
Suppose this is true, she should have spoken up much sooner.
And kept working for him.
I don’t know about this situation but Joss Whedon has always struck me as being an a-hole. Just my general impression of him.
His shows have been hit or miss for me. Firefly/Serenity is a huge favorite of mine. I didn’t watch Buffy when it was originally on but have been trying it on Amazon Prime. I’ve watched about a season and a half. I don’t understand the appeal. The writing isn’t clever. Much of the acting is bad. I can see how it might grab a certain age demographic, but beyond that, I’m mystified.
There is no shortage of talented artists who have also been total ego-driven vicious pricks. It’s part of the entertainment industry. Read the bios of some blues musicians sometime.
Viciousness in entertainment is so prevalent that people are pleasantly surprised when they see a successful actor or musician who is actually a nice person and not a raging nasty bully.
Anyone entering the industry should be aware of this and learn to let the nasty comments roll of ones back. Either that or find a different profession.
Another “strong” woman...
