Your neighbor legitimately deserves your thanks for helping on snow duty, but how much thanks?
Oh, heck no. The Trumpites next door to our pandemic getaway, who seem as devoted to the ex-president as you can get without being Q fans, just plowed our driveway without being asked and did a great job.
How am I going to resist demands for unity in the face of this act of aggressive niceness?
Of course, on some level, I realize I owe them thanks — and, man, it really looks like the guy back-dragged the driveway like a pro — but how much thanks?
These neighbors are staunch partisans of blue lives, and there aren't a lot of anything other than white lives in neighborhood.
This is also kind of weird. Back in the city, people don’t sweep other people’s walkways for nothing.

Lost me there. I don’t have any idea what she means. Blue to me only means BLUE states which are not related to any Trump supporter and “white lives” - I don’t have a clue!
I can't pay too much attention to someone who's that detached from reality.
Next time don’t plow her driveway.

I don’t think it is satire or sarcasm. It was also discussed on Fox this morning and no mention of satire there either.

She just changed her twitter account settings to “protected”. Now no one but her twitter followers can read her tweets. I guess she got a lot of backlash due to this article of hers.

I am convinced that the motivation of the Trump hater is envy, his life style & fashion (All the cool people hate him so I should so I can be cool !) They can never articulate an actual policy disagreement unless its a secular quasi-religious one like global warming. The “he’s a bigot” claim is so easily disproven that the Trump haters just get mad and walk away. That tells me there are deeper reasons - envy, life style & fashion.
In my own neighborhood, while we previously never discussed politics, suddenly right before the election, my neighbors next to me and across the street put “Trump 2020” yard signs up. My neighbors still have their Trump signs up and we are now part of a neighborhood watch, rather than just unknown people living in the same neighborhood!
So my answer as to what to do about the Trunpites next door....they became part of our “Got Your Back” neighborhood protection system.
