Dear beloved fellow FReepers, please keep me, my spouse and my parents in your prayers as I had to decide to put to rest one of our kitties. She had 17 years--a rescue, my spouse and my first of many, and not one day went by that this awesome, talkative sweet little silver tabby did not embellish us with such great love, such cuteness in personality, and was there every time for us when anyone ailed of sickness or pain, despite her own physical problems.
The Lord put animals here for many reasons, the two I'd like to expound upon are love and companionship. Wild animals like dolphins have saved lives, and so have dogs, horses, etc. In this fallen world, where mankind turns a blind eye, closes their ears and abandons people, pets have held the line to provide in their stead. They have helped many through many a perilous or deeply depressing hour, and this sweet little kitty did too.
Thank you, Lord Jesus, for Krystal Lynn. She brought us such joy, and help me to remember these times over and above the pain of letting her go.
No way to know if it exists, but doesn’t being able to visit a kitty heaven put a smile on your face.
Based on the pain you are enduring, your kitty was very fortunate that SHE adopted you!
Prayers to you and all the moms and dads of fur babies.
So sorry you had to go through this. It’s tough duty
Gods peace and mercy upon you
I’m so, so sorry. Your pain will be great for a long time. You can’t make it stop so just have to let it run its course.
We went through it in December when we learned that Miss Fiona had cancer in her stomach. Just when I think I’m dealing with it, I find myself sobbing for hours. We’ve been through this a few times, but she was my favorite.
I really do think you’ll see her again.

Prayers to you and your family. The purity of soul of a loyal furry companion is bettter than many, many people.
Yes, I’ve been there. My sweet GracieGirl was 23 years. We had to do right by her as she had kidney failure. Bless you.
Hate to hear someone lsing a loved pet who really is a part of the family...My wife and I have 4 cats and one dog...(The cats rule the poor dog)...One cat, Carly, we’ve had for 20 years...She’s 21 years old, but still very active...
We know she probably won’t be with much longer, but she has had a great life and given us a great life too...
Thank you for taking care of kitty. She was lucky to have you care for her all those years and help her avoid suffering.
Prayers for you and your kitty and all those kitties out there in the cold tonight.
She was a wonderful kitty. May the Lord console you as only He can.
oh im sorry. i love kitties. they are big jerks sometimes, but they sure are family.
It is heartbreaking to lose one of our furry kids. I know, as I lost two of my own in less than a year. I still ache inside about them. I’m saying kitty prayers for you and hope your pain lessens in good time.
So sorry for the loss of a wonderful companion.
So sorry to hear of your loss. I’ve been there many, many times and I will be there yet again someday. It is very sad to lose a great friend, because that’s what they are. Try and remember that there are a lot of cats out there looking for a “forever” home.
So sorry. I know how difficult a decision that always is.
We know this grief you are feeling. It is deep. Please take comfort in knowing your kitty is now pain free and has passed over the rainbow bridge where many delights keep them busy while they wait on their masters to join them. They are our friends throughout eternity. Take care.
Prayers for you. I hope you find consolation in the fact that you were such a good cat parent. I know this seems difficult to take now, but the rescue centers will be awash with kittens this spring and they need homes.
There are tears in these old eyes reading your tribute to this wonderful companion God gave for a few years. I too have had to face this mean choice, more than once in my 75 years. But know this, all living things God has creqted have an aspect that is not tied solely to our spacetime coordinate system. The souol of behavior is also connected to a different spacetime coordinate system which has tie in a very different aspect. Put another way, the being who graced your life for those years does bot cease to exist once the body stops functioning as the ‘carrier’ for the soul of life. You and I will have such joy on ‘the other side’ because the ones we love will still BE and we shall know each other ‘there’. Wherefore comfort one another with these sayings.
New body.
16 Heaven. New body
21 Heaven. New body
18 1/2 Heaven. New body
Hugs and prayers ❤
