The brewing company has launched its Raging Eagle Mango Beer, a pilsner with "natural mango flavor."
“We saw an opportunity to leverage our six generations of brewing expertise to create a refreshing mango beer that appeals to adventurous drinkers and adds a bold new brand to our portfolio of iconic beers,” said Jen Yuengling, 6th generation brewer, D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. “Raging Eagle Mango Beer feeds into the passion and energy of the 21-35 young adult who is often surrounded by friends and itching to embark on new and unique adventures.”
The beer is expected to be available year-round in 24oz cans across 22 states, including South Carolina.

I still have the bulk of a case of cherry ale and a 18 pk. of Grapefruit lager I brewed over the holidays. Pretty good, so far. I’m not adverse to trying something new.

Yuengling jumps shark. Typical it only takes a generation of offspring to flush down the toilet what the family built. A company should stick to what it does best and not cater and be something it isn’t with a horrible product in this case fruit beer.

We can't get Yuengling in Michigan. We have a cousin in Ohio that smuggles in a case whenever he comes to visit us.
I'll tell him to skip the Mango...

Yuengling was my go-to beer. Mango is great in a frozen margarita. Fortunately, I quit drinking any beer a couple of years ago so this is dead on delivery. But I still enjoy a frozen margarita once in a while...

They ll have "crazy eyes". I fear for the future of my favorite beer.
They are trying to be hip and cool and appeal to a younger clientele and pissing off their long time customers.

The Yuengling ancestors must be spinning in their graves. People who were weaned on Capri Sun or other sort sweetened juice don’t like real beer or whiskey. They want the stuff that tastes like what they drank when they were kids. The liquor stores are stuffed with this crap.

Candied beer to compete with the White Claws of the world, I imagine.

I'm not interested in mango beer. To each their own. I often drink "lager". That's how you order it at a bar in PA, as in "I'll have a lager." They know what you are asking. It's a decent, inexpensive beer and by no means of a micro brew vane. I also drink a few other varieties as well.
The men in the Yuengling family are conservatives. Not sure where this young and female generation of brewers stand.

I plan to. As soon as they finish the construction on Highway 71. A real bottleneck. Worse now I understand.

I haven’t been that way in a long time. I thought sure that would be done by now.
