Just want to share my experience with Free COVID Testing. Was very close to someone who tested positive at the end of November. Went to a facility with a friend on mine that offered "Free Covid Testing" They asked for both of our insurance information and when ask why they respond; for recording keeping only, the test is free. Both of us just received statements from our insurance companies, Aetna and Blue Cross showing a charge of $350 from Excel Clinical Labs Inc. Both our plans paid $105 and say we may be obligated for $245. So how is this free?
By the way, I was working side by side fixing a car for two days with someone who was positive and I never contracted it.
its quite a racket.
the test is free but the lab fee to read it is not in many cases.
I wonder if this is one of the Hairsniffer’s hidden changes. Did not hear of this when Trump was POTUS.
If asked for insurance information, just stand up and shout;
BAMMIE CARE!
Thanks very much for posting. “Free” may be costly to health or psychological well-being ALERT.
Any test you have is part of tour medical record, for life. If you think ins companiewxans other agencies respect your pricmcacy, youre a fool. Getting a test wont save you. A great physician treats symptoms.
“I was working side by side fixing a car for two days with someone who was positive”
Maybe you were properly grounded.
It’s “free” according to government bean counting.
Issue is with your insurance provider. Dispute the charge.
They count on people just ponying up.
“If you think ins companiewxans other agencies respect your pricmcacy”
Using Crazy Joe’s teleprompter again?
should go back to the person who told you that and tell them they lied to you=- or at the very least were not wholly honest-
“A great physician treats symptoms.”
Unfortunately, it seems too many physicians are proscribed from using all the tools to treat symptoms that are widely used elsewhere in the world. Too many seem to be saying if “if you get really sick, get to the hospital” instead of using the therapeutics shown to work in many other countries.
I inquired of my own doc that, if I show symptoms, would he treat with monoclonal antibodies. I just wanted to see if MABs are in his arsenal. I got a mealy-mouthed non-answer from his assistant.
The test is free-—the swab & tube & administrator are NOT.
Ding! Push back and promise to take this charge (past FR and) onto social media.
We had a notice about “free” covid tests. One had to go online, which I did, but discovered I would have to fill out a very lengthy and inquisitive form so I passed.
Figured the group doing the drive thru tests is a data mining outfit.
For the last year, I’ve been all over NYC, working with hundreds upon hundreds of people from NYC and all the suburbs. Different people every day. Uptown, Midtown, Downtown, Jamaica/Queens, Harlem; subways, trains, sidewalks, lunch lines; not to mention coworkers from every strata: laborers, carpenters, technicians, managers, architects, and property owners. Have not heard of a single one of them having had the china cold. Not. One.
The $105 was free. Are you dense? /S
catch 22, welcome to socialist helltopia
Don’t be a negative Nelly.
