I’m not listening. I hope it is being taped as I do want to hear what she has to share. But, I can’t take it. It is too soon. There is just so much awfulness I can stand. I’ve exceeded my limits.
My daughter told me last night that she is going to move out this summer. She’s done us a favor for the last several years by living here. She is past time to be on her own. But still, I just wish she wouldn’t. I pray I don’t say that. I don’t want to coerce her into staying.

At one time I used to make a stack of tortillas a few times a week. Requires lots of kneading. I used to milk 2 to three goats by hand. I broke horses and could pick up and toss a bail of hay into the back of pickup like nothing.
Now I can barely do anything. Sometimes I forget that and try to do something and end up paying for it.
I doubt if I could do all the moving and cleaning you’ve been doing without hiring or recruiting help.

We are discovering that is the case for us also. Hubby is discovering it faster than I am since he is working harder and moving large objects. I’m just going really slow. I hope the market doesn’t turn before we get everything moved out and the place cleaned up to sell!
I’m taking the day off, I need to rest my arms. After taking everything out of the freezer yesterday and then putting it back in, and after lifting too many super pails to put them where I wanted them in the basement, I’ve reached my limit. Maybe I’m getting smarter, I’m learning to back off before I want to cut my arms off.
OTOH, we get two rooms back and I can put up decorations the way I want them.
I didn’t know they made dishwashers. I’m glad you figured out a way to get one! That must be why we can do plastic items these days, I was wondering about that. We inherited a dishwasher with this house and it dries wonderfully. Melts stuff but dries wonderfully :-) the dishwasher we had in Bakersfield didn’t try anything, I ended up having to dry them myself before putting stuff away. So we found a KitchenAid whose claim to fame was that it had a drier. I guess they’re only allowed to use so much energy. So now they are putting the megawatts into cleaning instead of drying. But this KitchenAid does a good job at cleaning as well, I’ve quit wiping every plate perfectly clean before putting it in.
I would look at a Bosch for the next house. But we’ve decided to cheat and take our appliances with us. The new house has older black ones. We put in top-of-the-line everything because we thought we were staying here forever. So we’ll just swap out the black appliances from the new house and take our stainless ones with us. I think our kitchen would look okay with black.
My daughter asked me what I was going to do after she moved out. I told her run around the house in my underwear and drink milk out of the carton.
I was happy about socks. I went out and bought a drawer full of sock, knowing I could actually keep them. Between her and her sister, for years I never had any socks.
