The cloud cover reflected the moonlight in such a way that I thought the sun was literally coming up so I got up only to discover that it was 4AM (yikes) and the damn dog/cat rumble had already taken a toll on my sleep too, so I put pen to paper and came up with a much needed solution. Funny how that works sometimes.
Me: Slave brain, I want you to give me an answer and I want you to give it to me right now!
Slave brain: As you wish master- here is your answer... BOOM!

I think I write (by reading / sounding it out) in a similar way that a non schooled musician learns how to play music by ear.
My bed frame is sitting literally against a water spigot on one end and a doggie door opening on the other end, due to the need to hug the wall.
I guess I couldn’t take one more flap of the doggie door opening or closing and I was forced by those circumstances to rise up and figure out a solution. The dog / cat thing has been going on for some time and is likely to continue so I think that what I’ve come up with will significantly improve my sleep pattern. I’m a light sleeper to begin with and probably should look at ingesting some kind of harmless sleep aid.

Their latest recommendation is “placing a sleeve made of sheer nylon hosiery material around the neck and pulling it up over either a cloth or medical procedure mask,” or using knots and tucking to fit a mask closely to the face.
They came up with these techniques in experiments with mannequins in a lab and have not tested them on actual humans. They have no empirical data, and the study even warns:
The findings of these simulations should neither be generalized to the effectiveness of all medical procedure masks or cloths masks nor interpreted as being representative of the effectiveness of these masks when worn in real-world settings.
And there’s also this warning: “Double masking might impede breathing or obstruct peripheral vision.”
