What do you guys suggest as an alternative to Gmail?
Looking for a good, solid, reliable email provider that is not interested in censoring people or hurting the USA.
Agree with protonmail.com. I’m using Signal for encrypted texting to any friend with Signal.
We had a mini-typhoon go through here early this morning. No rain but plenty of wind. You ever been to Spokane and Coeur d’Alene?

Hilliary didn’t set up her own mail server. The tech she hired set it up with gmail underneath. So any snooper, governmental or private, could slip a few bucks to a goolag employee and get above top secret information, compartmentalized information, letter level information etc.
I second the proton mail recommendation.
My sister just signed up for Reagan.com, which has been around for a long time. It’s conservative. It does cost, but not much.
@hushmail.com
Definitely Protomail
tutanota.com
$35/year includes primary and 4 aliases.
posteo.com
$30/year includes 3 aliases and you can choose the country code on the aliases (@posteo.de, @posteo.ru.@posteo.ai...)
Your ISP may have a mailbox available.
You can also get a free one from Yahoo, AOL, and a few other
entities.
Charter
AT&T
Verizon
Pssst, write it down. Some people have a list of all web sites they like to visit and the passwords. Not me though, mine fell in the lake along with the few guns I own.
I use delta21@freerepublic.com for lots of stuff.
Protonmail but choose the paid option or choose mailbox.org
I’ll second Reagan.com - that’s what I use with all my conservative friends. It’s not free but it’s reasonable.
Another vote for Protonmail
Do not ever use an online email provider except for throwaway email addresses. Use an email client that stores your emails locally on your PC or phone (POP3). Do you really want all of your emails OUT THERE where some rabid leftist sys admins can access all of them, or can be hacked and now bad guys have everything? If yes then you are a fool, asking for trouble.
This setup has worked well for me.
Pay the small annual fee to get a small basic web site where you can register a domain name with private registration (very important). Most also give you the ability to create multiple email accounts (50, 100, unlimited). DO NOT choose a domain name that has any identifiable info in it. YOURNAME.NET IS A NO GO!
Create email addresses under your new domain name. Create one as your uber private email addr (banking, brokerages, utilities, etc.). Create several throw away email addrs (dummy1@yourdomainname, dummy2@yourdomainname, ...). Use those for junk registrations online. If one starts getting spammed, then delete it and create a new throwaway. Create one for your cell. mobile@yourdomainname. Add forwarding for the non mobile email addrs to your cell email addr. Note: DO NOT recommend using the uber private email addr for family and friends, since they will 99% of the time be bozos with no strict op security practices and discipline, and when they get hacked, you don’t want your uber private email address getting out in the wild. Create a semi-private one.
A email comes in and your desktop client downloads into lets say Outlook. Since a forward will also be sent to your cell, you can read it on your cell too. Since the cell only has copies, you can freely delete them “ok, read that, will respond, later when get back to desk...”)
FIRST, YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR QUALITY E-MAIL SERVICE HOSTING.
ProtonMail is “free” - meaning, it tracks you.
Ping.
