Paris is six hours ahead of us, so the sun is out. It is two o’clock in the afternoon in Paris.
I have no doubt that the tower was dark during the night, a very unusual sight, but when you posted the link, it was daylight.
I imagine it was quite a shock to the people of Paris last night, since the Effiel Tower has twinkling lights all over it.
