Not for long. The debt is $30 trillion and there's $33 trillion in our plans. If we couldn't win Georgia Trump's stolen argument is without air. The rats will have 2 years to do their thing. I'm too old to go out and protest or send money to the Kelly Loffers out there and the younger generation is all woke. They will proudly take us out.

The Democrats intend on converting our 401k money to approved investments only.
The only tax savings will be seen in investments tied to TBills and US Bonds, only.
That conversion will be “marked to market” immediately to the gen-fund.
The best you will make is 3% tax free.

I think that debt is a tool that the Globalists depend upon. Whether we owe $33T or $30T is fine with them. They are not trying to get our debt down to $0. They like debt. It’s a control mechanism.
What they dislike is independent people. Your 401k helps you stand up straight and be free. So, they want to take your 401k. Just so that you won’t have it any more.
Of course, they will use that money for nefarious purposes. But using the money is a secondary goal. Taking it away from you is all they really want to do.
Arizona is on the downward trend. I would not come here now if I were looking to relocate. I say that sadly and as someone who has lived here for 20 years.
The Democrats have now stolen control of the government. What remains to be seen is if this Democrat party is made up of the old, incompetent over reachers who will screw up their victory, or a newer, more sinister group of progressives who will power their way to public compliance. I’d like to think this is Biden’s old party of idiots, but I fear that Obama and other anti-Americans are running this and they won’t make the same mistakes they did in 2009 and 2010.

FWIW, I am on 32 acres with a “newer” fairly small but nice home and a 40x60 barn and two “usually flowing” streams as well as a natural well.
Total annual real estate taxes: $248. At that price, we’re not “renting” our property from the government. :)

You have a 401k so unless there’s 100 dollars in it, you’re in better shape than many.

I don’t expect they’d outright confiscate them as subject them to a hefty tax and/or maybe start carving “excess” Medicare costs out as well.
The week that Obama was sworn in, I liquidated my 401Ks and IRAs. I cost me a wad in taxes, but it’s now all mine.
I did find out that the bank’s financial advisor who was overseeing the IRA, had shuffled it through 7 different financial institutions to hide it. It took me almost 6 months to get the cash back. The advisor is in prison for embezzling, because my inquiry led to a general review of the accounts he was managing and uncovered many embezzled accounts.
The 401(k) is an IRS law, and the communists have been demanding we forfeit them for social security. I believe the 401k is a goner by summer.
Oh, and massive inflation or government takeover of the underlying assets within the accounts could of course wreak havoc as well.

Yes, they can. The USSC gave congress the ability to tax anything and everything including nothing and to tax all of it.
