Trump says ‘tremendous anger’ over impeachment, but wants ‘no violence’

President Trump on Tuesday said he wants “no violence,” but condemned Democratic leaders in Congress for trying to oust him from office.
“For Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to continue on this path, I think it’s causing tremendous danger to our country and it’s causing tremendous anger,” Trump said on the White House lawn before he departed for a trip to Texas. “I want no violence.”
In his first public comments since pro-Trump protesters rioted inside the Capitol, leaving at least two dead, Trump said the House speaker and Senate Democratic leader seeking to impeach him or invoke the 25th Amendment is just part of a “witch hunt.”
“As far as this is concerned we want no violence, never violence,” Trump told reporters. “We want absolutely no violence. And on the impeachment, it’s really a continuation of the greatest witch hunt in the history of politics. It’s ridiculous. It’s absolutely ridiculous. This impeachment is causing tremendous anger, and you’re doing it and it’s really a terrible thing that they’re doing.”
With eight days to go in his presidency, Trump, who made building a wall along the U.S.-Mexico boarder a cornerstone of his winning 2016 presidential campaign, also said: “We’re going to Texas. We’re going to the southern border. As you know we’ve completed the wall. They may want to expand it. We have the expansion underway.
“It’s been tremendously successful, far beyond what anyone thought. We’re stopping in large numbers the drugs coming into the country for many, many years and decades. We’re stopping a lot of illegal immigration. Our numbers have been very good.”

My beautiful sister passed away late last night/early this morning.
She has returned home to our Heavenly Father and is now reunited with our parents and our older brother.
I know she is in a better place given the challenges she faced over the last several years.
She had Alzheimer’s for the past 4 or 5 years.
I will miss her dearly, but look forward to the day when we will see each other again.

I did not watch any of the proceedings in Congress on January 6. I presume it was all on C-SPAN. Did the cameras keep rolling while legislators were running to their secure locations?

Pomona’s Pectin is the answer to all your issues I would bet. No one can screw up with it that I know of. I buy it in 1# bulk lots all the time for years now, but they sell it in small quantities also.
It’s more than half off the normal price right now that it January. Come Spring and Summer the price will go up a lot. I learned this the hard way with a huge bumper crop a few years ago. I paid $39 in February and $69 in July. I have their book, but their website has some great recipes for free.

Such crazy and almost unbelievable things are happening each day. It is very important to put the end-sarcasm tag on anything that is sarcasm because it is just not possible to be sure anymore. Plus, with the Ministry of Truth now in operation, a comment meant as sarcasm, but not identified as such, could be used to come and attack someone later.
